Question for those who ordered Halo 2 CE from MTV.com...

Ok I'm sure some of you CAGs ordered Halo 2 CE from MTV.com whne they were having that "SUMMER" sale. Entering 2 codes you were able to order the game for $38.38 Shipped, or so I thought...

Anyways, my question is that those of you who ordered it, does your account say that the game is $51.??. I checked my order a few days ago and it didn't show the discounts, is that normal? So are we going to get the deal or not, has anyone heard?

I believe they don't show the discounts when you go to check on your order. I pre-ordered Growlanser Generations using the same codes and it's not showing either of the discounts.
 
my account shows the discount. I am thinking of changing the shipping to standard since the budget shipping could take 1- 3 weeks. Sadly there is no phone number I can call.
 
I just got my shipping E-mail. $38.38 shipped :D


I should have the game Monday or Tuesday at the latest (its only 4 hours away)! 8)
 
Hmm they said they shipped yours already?

I havent gotten a email yet :(

It took Crisis Zone 1 day to get to my house thou :D

Score, my order showed a tracking number and it turns out that it is at my door already. Guess I know what I am doing tonight..... before midnight!

We apologize that the delivery of your order is taking longer than expected and
for any inconvenience this has caused. Unfortunately, due to unexpected demand,
item #(halo 2) on your order is currently on backorder.

Unfortunately, we do not have an estimated time of arrival. However, you will
receive an email from us once the product you ordered ships. Please note that
your credit card will not be billed until that time.

That's unfortunate. I always seem to pre-order form the wrong places. lol
 
I contacted them today and received the same message. Damn them to heck. I should've known better to think anything with the MTV name on it wouldn't mess up.

I pre-ordered mine on Aug. 25th (my birthday), if anyone cares.
 
Not sure what affects what order they ship them in. I talked to a few people and they actually ordered after I did and theirs shipped already.

Hmm... maybe they only ship it if the warehouse closes to us has it?

Mine was CE and it shipped. Got a tracking # and everything. Expected delivery is the 9th.
 
Like quiet a few of you I preorderd Halo 2 a few months ago when mtv.com was having a special to bring the Halo 2 CE down to about 40$.Now I see some people say theres has been shipped while I email them about it and say its on backorder.

How the hell can they not have enough copies for the people who reserved it well over 2 months before?
 
They probably didn't get enough in their initial shipment to cover them all. They'll have enough within a week probably. Its not the end of the world.
 
An even better question would be why are some of the later orders shipping before the earlier ones?

ALthough on another board, someone said that they just received their game and the site still says processing... so there's still some hope.

but not a whole lot. heh
 
it is the end of the world damnit!

I only did this because it takes 1 day for the game to get to my house and it was so cheap.Id rather pay 20$ more then wait a freakin week or two and considering they dont know when its gonna come it could be longer
 
Mine is already in hand. Well actually my bosses hand since i sent it to work. But I've seen pictures of it so I know it exists. Both mine and my friends shipped on friday.
 
I got a ship notification email today. Forgot my damn user ID and password for MTV.com, though, so I can't check the status just yet.

I'm glad this will work out (hopefully), and I can stand being a day or two late. I was telling myself if this was as big of a cluster**** as my Simpsons Season 1 DVD and Star Wars DVD online pre-orders, I'd never pre-order something online again.
 
I have two co-workers that have recieved their Halo 2 CE from MTV yesterday, I was tracking mine on UPS.com but somehow they decided to reschedule my delivery to today. So I'm itching to get home to wait for it.
 
I got mine today, the CE version. The interesting thing is that my order is still showing as processing on the mtv site and i haven't received an email stating it was shipped. So maybe there is still hope some will still get it today.

I ordered mine that day as well and I recieved it this afternoon.
 
Turns out there was an error in my billing address. I noticed a month ago on my order and emailed them about corrections. They never made any apparently as it still lists it incorrectly on my order (though it is correct on my account).

I sent them a few emails the past couple days but got no responses at all. Not sure what's up with that.
 
I'm still waiting for them to reply to my emails. I've sent a few in the past month and none of them have been acknowledged yet. Ah well.
