I traded in some games at EB to pre-order Madden 07(and got an extra 20% because of the deal they were running for trade-ins toward Madden).

If I cancel the pre-order because I found a better deal elsewhere, will they take back the extra 20% credit that I received?

Yeah. Extra 20% is only if it's going to the preorder of Madden, and this belongs somewhere else.

but I have heard of people managing to do this I believe, YMMV though, just make sure you DON'T mention you are going to buy it somewhere else and I would suggest trying to move it to another pre-order. Just make up some excuse like someone is already getting it for you and you wanted to apply the money to another pre-order, it could work.

I've actually had a clerk tell me to do this and just move that preorder money to something else if I didn't want Madden.
