Question on Action Replay & Max Drive for Fire Pro & more

I recently got an Action Replay Max so I can get Fire Pro saves or any other game saves I may need onto my PS2. Do I need to return it and get a Max Drive or will the Action Replay software combined with a USB flash drive work?

i think that the drive had to be less than 512 mb, but you don't need to get the max.

But I do need the action replay to read the USB drive right? The PS2 can't do that on its own can it?

correct. I think that it might only work on old "fat" ps2s, also.
