Question regarding Ebay and Resident Evil 4/ Metroid Prime 2 deals

Right now I've been browsing through Ebay and I've noticed that RE 2 and 3 for Gamecube sell for $80-100 now. Some of these are even used.

However, there are "supposed brand new factory sealed" copies of Metroid Prime 2 and Resident Evil 4 that are selling for less than $20 each.

Is this a deal to take advantage of (for the Resident Evil 4 and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes?) Metroid Prime 2: Echoes for a little over $10 sounds like a good deal. Or is this something I should be cautious of, for whatever reason? Selling these newer games at these low prices sounds kind of fishy.

By the way, if this topic is posted in the wrong area, or if I'm not supposed to post these kinds of questions, please forgive me and may a moderator lock at will. Thanks in advance!

Oh, and please reply asap, since the Metroid Prime 2: Echoes deal will be done in about a day and a half.
 
Do you have links to the MP2 and RE4 auctions? It sounds like a scam of some sort. I doubt they're pirated, given the nature of GC discs, but something still isn't right there.

There are 4 links for MP2 selling for $10 right now. However, they are all from the same guy, even though they are four different item numbers, and 4 different auctions.

They still have a day left. They won't end at $10.

//EDIT there's some games that people just don't care about, like Goldeneye: Rogue Agent. I haven't ever seen a copy of Rogue Agent go for $40, and it seems like most copies are now staying under $20.
 
That's the nature of auctions. The final price isn't $10.00. If he was selling it Buy it Now for $10, then yeah, likely a scam, people just haven't bid on the auction, hence the price is still low. It'll go up.

Exactly. Wait until the auction ends and you'll see them closer to retail. (People will bid higher than $10 and the price of the auction will go up.)

If they had "Buy It Now" options for $10, then I would be suspicious. Like Ledhed said, it would most likely be a scam, since GC bootlegs are pretty much nonexistant I think.
 
it will go up... it doesn't look like a scam though or anything shady. The seller has good feedback and I doubt he got it up over 100 and his big score is a $10 scam...
