Questions about Ebay and Paypal

I dont use ebay and I always hated paypal because long ago when I first tried to sign up it demanded my bank account number which always seemed odd to me.Anyway, I am buying an item through ebay that is pretty expensive, I signed up for a paypal account using just my credit card. The auction hasnt ended yet but how do I go about paying for it through paypal once its over? Will I be able to click a pay now button and type in my card number (kinda like a amazon transaction) or what? I only want to use this once for a buy it now item. I know the use of paypal and shit is super common knowledge but I really distrust giving anyone over the internet a direct link to my personal bank account.

So you linked your CC with paypal? When you win the auction click on pay now and it should redirect you to paypal where you will need to login. It will take the funds from your CC through PP to pay. If you dont plan on buying anything else you can remove your CC from PP afterwards.
