Anyone own one or used one? What are their features vs the original NES? Do they play import games? How much do they run?

I'm thinking of going old school and was wondering to find a NES or get a clone.

I got the FC Twin this past weekend. I only have SNES games right now for it. Every game, including "FX" titles, have played perfectly. The unit feels like it's solid Nintendo quality. It looks like the mini-SNES console with an extra slot for NES. The controllers are almost exact copies of the SNES controller, however they feel really cheap. The good thing is that SNES accessories work with it so I'll be buying a pair of Nintendo controllers to go with it soon. I paid $50 for it at a Play N Trade store.

I give it an 8 out of 10. If the controllers were better, it would be a 10. I'm stoked that I can play NHL94 again.

I have a generation NEX. It's pretty hot. It will play famicom games(I don't have any so I've never tried it) One problem I had was using the Play Messiah wireless controllers with it. It's supposed to have built in wireless and it does but I was having a lot of issues with losing signal. I ended up plugging in the wireless dongles to the console and it's right as rain.

It has stereo sound where as the NES was only Mono. It's still the mono signal but at least it runs through all the speakers.

Ummm... I can't think of any other fancy stuff but feel free ask me any other questions you have about it. I really do like having the system. :D

I have a Generation Nex too and it's awesome!! I just put in any nintendo game and it turns right on, like a brand new nes from days past. It indeed does play japanese famicom games. I ordered my Nex off ebay for $60 and I also got Mother for $45. It is well worth the investment. There is a slight downside, some games' sounds come out all weird, but it's ok to play awesome old-school games. When you are playing famicom games, the sound comes out almost crystal clear. Oh yeah, I almost forgot! The nes games are really hard to pull out when they are in it.
