Quick question about PS3 controllers.

Chuplayer

CAGiversary!
If you connect your PS3 controller to the PS3 through the USB cord and keep it plugged in, does it act as a wired controller?

I know the 360 Play and Charge kit doesn't turn the controller into a true wired controller, but if the PS3 does make it wired, I won't have to worry about controller desyncs at all.

I believe it does consider it wired. Whenever I do the enhancement trick with GoW2 I connect the controller through USB so that it doesn't desync.

Chodax is correct. Just like the 360 Play'N'Charge kit, it only acts as a charger. You can test this out by trying to play the 360 controller and the sixaxis on your computer, it'll recnozie a USB interface device but there is no information being sent to the computer/console through the USB.
