ROCKSTAR GAMES SOCIAL CLUB BRINGS ON MIDNIGHT CLUB LOS ANGELES

Unlock the Audi R8, create and share user-created content, and rate the competition at Rockstar’s gaming community home on the web

The Rockstar Games Social Club is an online hub for gaming with leader boards, special rewards, competitions and more. Midnight Club Los Angeles aims to deliver even more gaming goodness through the R* Social Club by offering a host of new ways to immerse yourself in the non-stop driving, customizing and racing when you’re away from your console. With online tournaments, video content creation and sharing, rich stat-tracking capabilities, and the chance to unlock the powerful Audi R8 in the game, joining the Rockstar Social Club will complete Midnight Club Los Angeles experience.

Launch Features

• The Driving Test - complete a series of in-game challenges as you play Midnight Club Los Angeles, as you work towards three different classes of driver’s licenses. Each class of license unlocks a different in-game item -- the Class A license exclusively unlocks the ultimate prize, the red hot Audi R8.

•Rate My Ride – Midnight Club Los Angeles boasts an incredible array of customization options, from rims and custom paints to wide body kits and custom parts – the choices you can make in personalizing your vehicle are nearly limitless. The next step is to share your creations with your friends, and find out how you rank. Upload your vehicle in-game, and it will be added to a constantly changing display of rides up for review. View the selection in game or via the Social Club, vote for your favourites and see where your ride ranks on the worldwide leader board. In-game you also have the opportunity to purchase your favorite vehicle designs.

• Hollywood Auto – This is the place to size up your next in game purchase. All of the cars and motorcycles from the game are available for your perusal online in the showroom. Here you can see which ones statistically are most popular, most driven and which have won the most races online. You can also download beauty shots of your favourite vehicles from the in-game collection.

• Screenshot Gallery - You've explored the camera mode, snapped glossy close-ups of your custom vinyl designs, captured awesome crashes and posed your favourite vehicles in front of all those breathtaking Los Angeles vistas. Now upload them to the Social Club, where you can organize your shots and share your selects with all of your friends.

• Player Profile - Keep an eye on your personal stats, and those of your friends, through the Social Club’s Player Profile system. Your profile is fully customizable: choose which stats you want to display, personalize the page layout’s theme and decorate with your favorite screenshots.

• Multiplayer Leaderboards - Incredibly deep leaderboards and stat tracking means you can see how you and your friends stack up in almost every conceivable way at any time of the day. Get ready for competition on a whole new level.

And that’s just the beginning. There's much more to come, including a hosted tournaments series, the LA FM music player and the exclusive Midnight Club Los Angeles screenshot music video generator. Look for additional content and enhanced user features to be added to the Rockstar Games Social Club experience regularly, in support of Midnight Club Los Angeles, Grand Theft Auto IV and many future Rockstar titles to come. Make sure to check back regularly to see what’s new.

Pretty cool stuff.

This game is so freaking awesome! I know a lot of reviewers seem to be stressing that this game is insanely hard, but it's really not. If you've played MC3, then you'll feel right at home with the difficulty.

If anyone wants to just cruise around tomorrow or whatever, hit me up with a F/R.

I haven't played any MC hardcore since II (DUB Edition on PSP sucked :whistle2:(). This looks like a lot of fun. Does it harken back to the old days of Midnight Club?

Never played MC2, I played a ton of MC3 and MC3: Remix though. From what i've been hearing, MC2 was much better than MC3... and MC: LA is just AS good as MC2 gameplay wise. There's a couple of camera angles that caters to former MC3(Classic) and MC2(Static) players.
I played a lot of MC3, this looks like a MC game inspired by Burnout Paradise. Is that a good indication?
Yes...yes it is. I didn't like the open world feature that Burnout Paradise has but it works well here.
The games is fucking sick!!! One of the best arcade racers on the X360, finally found the racing game I've been looking for.
share your enthusiasm as its the one title ive been genuinely looking forward to since pgr4, since it's got virtually all the racing elements that make other series fun

im going to agree with the others though about mc2 being > than mc3, so hopefully the feel of the gameplay is closer to what i remember the former on pc

So how does this compare to Burnout Paradise? I really want to grab this since I loved MC2 (never played 3), but I'm afraid it will be too much like Burnout Paradise.

I loiked MC3 better than MC2 , the streets were more curvy and organic and of course real cars .

I need to come up with a way to get this , now .

Is the Impala SS in the game ?

I enjoyed MC3 a lot better than MC2 as well...this one tops it for sure. The customization options are pretty sweet, and you can upload your cars into the Rockstar Social Club, I didn't get a chance to do this yet though.

The Impala SS is there 1996...they also have the Chevy Camaro Concept

Its really cool to be driving around places I've seen, I was crusin' around the Staples Center and the LA Convention Center, the area was dead on...also as you drive along the streets of LA you'll come across GameStops, 7-11's, and Best Buy's....its pretty neat.
After games like NFS:pS, GRiD, and Juiced sucking so bad... I'm weary. I think if anything I'll rent.
Wow. I LOVED Grid. Still resides on my game shelf.

But I've been reading so many positive reviews thus far. I'll have to snag it when the extra funds come into play soon.

Yea I loved Grid also but the NFS series, and I'm a huge fan, has been going downhill ever since the last good one, Most Wanted. It's cool what Rockstar is doing with their games and an online community.

This game has a slight feeling of Most Wanted, specially when the cops start chasing your ass...they're pretty persistent. I'm actually quite surprised that this game has very little hype.
Surprised the customization system rivals Forza 2. Very nice so far, but hard.
Oh you bastard. Racing game with any facet at the level of Forza and I must buy. Damn you. Does it have a paint scheme customization system like Forza?

I agree, I hate it most when I'm leading a race and then i make a turn and hit the oncoming traffic and it kills my lead. But hands down a great racing game. I haven't picked up a racing game since Tokyo Xtreme Racer on PS2.

For anyone palnning on doing the pink slip races... just be ready. Quit(even resetting the game/going to dashboard) will make you lose your vehicle. You CAN win it back from the same place/person, but this is just a warning to those who have a really good car they are using while they have a crap car in the garage.
This game is hard. My puny starter car just can't keep up at all with everyone else's.
It can be hard if you don't strategize...follow behind the cars, I forget what its called when you do but it creates a flow of air, this fills up your nitrous gauge, once full, launch yourself forward...always drive offensively, hit the other racers into uncoming traffic, use the rear look to block them from coming up behind you.

I didn't play Forza 2 but the customization is freakin' insane...you can paint parts, the entire vehicle, add layers and layers of decals, you can spend hours in the garage.

Anyone know if they gonna have a Dodge Magnum in this game? I saw the 300c, the challenger and the charger , come on put a magnum in! lol I just traded my 05 300c in for a 07 Magnum nice car btw anywho anyone know? If not ill probally stick with the charger and 300c

In other words, yes.

I think it's a bit harder to make everything just how you like it, but it's awesome. Much better selection of low-end cars, by far. Huge selection of body parts as well. Not just a huge wing and exhaust coming through the bumper like FM2.

So far I have the 280Z and the 69 RS/SS. The Z is white with a black hood and custom bumpers and side skirts (California look). The SS is Hugger Orange with SS stripes and the rear black out panel. I'm going to try the Hockey stick stripes tonight instead, and maybe a vinyl roof. Can't wait to unlock the widebody for the Z.

It's extremely hard to earn money fast, I'll say that. Having to pay $1000 for each car to access the paint booth bites. Same goes for the vinyl booth.

But...I'd say this game is one of the best racers I've ever played.

Oh shit...game is getting to be a bit hard...but still fun though. Played till 3am last night/this morning...loving every minute of it.

I haven't been attacking them, maybe I should start.

The thing I really like is even if you lose the story mission races, you still get money, so if you keep losing eventually you'll be able to afford to upgrade/buy a new car.

Awesome game though.

Remember, you can upload you cars pictures to the Rockstar Social club...here's my current one:

Here's some that I've seen online:

I had a 1969 Camaro that I made to look like Bumblee but it sucked and handling so I sold it. I'll be making another Bumblebee when I get the 09 Camaro.
Remember, you can upload you cars pictures to the Rockstar Social club.
I'll be doing alot of this , I took great pride in my MC3 creations .

Cars look better in-game than in pictures...I updated my BOSS

Reviewers are harsh too...got a 5.62 out of 10 rating...it's actually pretty badass when in game.

On another note we need to get 5 of us together for an online match to score that T-Mobile achievement.
