Been using the Nissan exclusively. I just tried out the vinyls on the Mazda. I wanna add stuff to the passenger's side of stripe vinyls ('cause it's bare save for the flag), but I don't know what.
That's a pretty tight car. Maganda!

Midnight Club L.A. Takes You Straight Into South Central In '09

Rockstar Games is giving the Midnight Club Los Angeles faithful a chance to run riot in South Central next year with a free expansion to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 street racer.

The "South Central Upgrade Map" opens up L.A.'s southern charms for free early next year, giving Midnight Clubbers access to landmarks such as Exposition Park, the USC campus, Shrine Auditorium, Crenshaw Plaza, and the L.A. Memorial Coliseum. And Randy's Donuts! Wait, make that _____'s Donuts for the legal team.

Rockstar's also releasing the "South Central Content Pack" which doesn't come free. It will add new character competitions, races, cars (including SUVs) and new music to the standard package. Price? Rockstar's not saying. But we'll definitely be hitting the streets of South Central with the windows up when those free goodies roll out.

Sounds cool .
glad I didn't pick this up. i'll wait for the price drop.
and what an awesome price drop it was!! jumping into this now..
and what an awesome price drop it was!! jumping into this now..
Yea, what's the price at now? I'm moderately interested since my 360 is still MIA in Texas lol.

I tried playing a few more times and couldn't get into it. It's just not a good casual racer. I kept getting pulled over by cops who took all my money and I lost the last three series I played (which ended up being 6-8 races each) due to running into cars with the finish line in view. The entire experience ended up being more frustrating than anything.

For casual race fans that just want to play for 30-60 minutes at a time here's my order of enjoyment of 360 games I've played so far:

1) Need for Speed Most Wanted
2) Ridge Racer 6
-big gap
3) Burnout Paradise
-big gap
4) Midnight Club

Don't take this as a knock about the quality of the game, it's simply a personal opinion that this isn't the game for me.

Once in a while it's in the Sunday ads for $30-35. I got it in that range from a Best Buy pricematch at Meijer. It's pretty cool, definitely "feels" better than Midnight Club 3 when you play it. I also like that it sticks to the car racing scene, not that bullshit with Need For Speed where every fucking game now is about running from some sadistic cop and/or cowering in fear of whatever dork EA picks as a villain. Recycled Fast & The Furious plotlines.

I'm having some kind of emotional attachment to this game. It's so weird. Like once i'm done with the game, i'm going to be sad that I won't be a active member of Los Angelas anymore. Also i'm extremely attached to my cars and can't bring myself to do a pink slip race unless i'm 100% certain I have enough money to buy a new one of the same hah.

I think it's something with the soundtrack that pulls me in. It's just so amazing. The vibe in the game, everything.

EASILY my favorite racer of all time (granted I haven't played Burnout Paradise yet), and my GOTY 2008.

Bring on South Central baby!
Is this (South Central DLC) out yet on XBLA? It supposedly hit the UK PSN store today...
It was up since this morning but XBOX.com and XBLM are having issues ATM according to MajorNelson.

Hey Fellow Cag's, i was wondering if there is an easy way to get make easy money in the game? ( Midnight Club: LA for the 360. any cheat's? ( will it disable achievement points ? ) also is there anyway to trade money in game? or buy someone's car or any thing else , anyone can recommend?. thanks in advance.

I recommend doing the highway races for easy rep and money. The more rep, the more money you'll make and yeah, those highway races take about a minute or two to finish. Yes, you can buy people's car with the rate my ride thing, but it won't help since there is a default to how much the car is sold for. No, you can't trade money in game.

This game is surprisingly fun and addictive with the racing wheel. Most of the time whenever I play with the wheel instead of a controller it makes the game a lot harder but the arcadey simulated races work out well with this. Also the NOS and EMP helps! ^^

just ordered this as Amazon's DotD, and quick question: Is there anything to do with the South Central free pack, or do you just aimlessly drive around in the area checking out the landmarks unless u pony up the 10 bucks for the premium pack?

Thanks!

Nothing to do unless you buy it.

ic, thanks. I'll see if I like the main campaign first then. Disappointing that there's nothing to do in the free version, but hey, it's free.

I was wondering if anybody else has had a problem there there disc? I just bought one copy used and it was unreadable. Brought it back and ANOTHER Unreadable. Wondering if there was faulty Disc's or just my 360 ready to die AGAIN. Any help is appreciated.
Apparently Clearing my CACHE made the game work. Does that make sense at all?
Yea thats one of the earlier troubleshooting steps I do, also helps lagginess of dashboard and glitchy games.

I hope so. If they do I might actually pick up a few packs when I see some cars I like.

Are any CAG's willing to play online? I want to get that play with 5 people achievement.
