I'll admit, I'm tempted on River King DS just because I don't see this game in stores much at all (which means less opportunity for me to pick up on clearance, etc), and I like both adventure games and fishing games in general.

Ohhh, so tempted w/ Dragon Quest, but will wait a bit for the price to drop. Tempated with River King, but I bought some stuff this month. :(
 
I paid $40 when DQS came out and since I quickly turned around and sold it for the same amount I was more than satisfied. It helped that the reviews weren't too positive. I went in with low expectations and came out pleasantly surprised.
 
I'm very tempted to get Dragon Quest, but I have a feeling that it might drop even lower... I'll wait a bit to see what happens.
 
I actually own the original Dragon Quest Swords standalone unit, and I gotta say that I love the concept, but Enix really needs to make a long, solid game with those mechanics and not just a quick few stages hack N slash.

$25 for Swords? Tempting...I don't know if I'll bite yet or not.
 
They had DQ Swords in the 2 for 25 bin at my local Best Buy YMMV. I think this game will keep dropping in price.

You mean you ordered it 2 days ago and it still came with the bonus figure?? Was it shrinkwrapped to the game or separate?
 
Yea I ordered it two days ago when the price dropped, and I received the figure with the game. the toy and game are both shrinkwrapped onto a piece of cardboard. Figure is unassembled but comes with instructions on how to put it together.
 
Sweet! Thanks for the info, doodofdoods. I did end up placing an order for R-Type, but it's on hold as I paired it with a pre-order to give me a chance to see if the figure was still available or not.
 
Hmmmm.....decisions, decisions. I really want Dragon Quest, but I guess it would just be another game to add to my unopened, yet to be played pile.
 
Looking at the trailer, R-Type Command looks like some old school side scrolling shooter. Is it good and worth $27?

But it's not - it's a turn-based strategy game.
 
I just got my r-type today and they're still coming with the bonus ship wrapped to the game. After reading that others were getting the bonus, I hoped I would too, since I waited a while to order.
 
Price for both games dropped again today to $21.22. Getting closer to that magic $19.99 or less!

Unfortunately, River King went back up to $27.99. Glad I picked it up for $20.xx earlier.

DQ 8 was very cheap, I remember picking it up at TRU for 9.99 a few years ago. Hopefully this will be that cheap as well!

Thanks, jumped on R-Type for $19. I've had my eye on this one since before it came out, since it sounds like a really unique game. That the figure is apparently still shipping with it just sealed the deal for me. :)
 
I received R-Type Command yesterday and it came with the bonus model. I had amazon price adjust it yesterday too.

I have 29 days to adjust it again should it drops further :)
