From now until 12/31, X-Box 360 Elites are $315. They are clearanced at $350 with 10% off. This only applies to corporate stores that carry video games. It's YMMV in that not all RadioShacks are corporate nor do they all carry video games. Stock is limited. However, if those conditions are met, you're in luck. I've sold atleast three at that price and it's by far the best deal you can get on one. Happy hunting.

They do sell the Pro and Arcade but no similar deal. The other clearanced consoles are the PSP Core, PS2, and 40GB PS3. PSP Core would be 148.47, PS2 for 112.47, and PS3 for 305.97.

Thanks for the tip. I picked up the last Elite from my local RS. It wasn't the holiday bundle with the pack in games but they had a Kung Fu Panda/Lego Indiana Jones pack separately and they gave it to me.

The Elite is an F console, thankfully not a Z but definitely not a J either. Still, the lower power consumption is great but it is still just as loud (both the cooling fan and the optical drive) as my old Z 360. Now if only I didn't have to wait so long for the migration kit from MS...

The PS3 for $305 is a way better deal than the Elite...Why didn't you include that in the original post?

Installing the games to the hard drive will silence it.

No go here. She said they were all pulled from their stores and they are no longer going to carry the systems... Maybe Radioshack decided to move on in regards to video games.

Because it's much harder to find and it's the one without backwards compatibility. I didn't think it was worth posting for the people here.

does anyone have the reference number or code for the 360 elite??? its no longet on their website and need it to check stock

Google cache says that the catalog number is 26-1130. Is this what you are looking for?

The PS3 thats on sale has zero back compat? I understand that some have the software and its spotty but that it works with most popular titles?

There was software backward compatibility on the older 80GB PS3's (Motorstorm game packin?). The newer 80GB PS3's you find in stores now have no software compatibility.

The RadioShack clearance is on a 40GB unit and they never had software backward compatibility.

How do you know what version you have?

Hey, thanks a lot for your help, will check now... i think this is what they were asking for....

What I did was just do a search for Radio Shack's in my area that had any Xboxes in stock. It seems the only ones that showed up were corporate stores. The third one I called had two Elites in stock so jammed down there and picked up the second to last one at the Carmichael, CA Radio Shack. After tax, $340 out the door and included the KF Panda and Lego Indy two pack.

It's a shame you guys aren't using the -$10 coupon to get an even better deal. The coupon works before tax is applied, which saves even more money.

Thanks for giving a link to the coupon

I am aware that games can now be installed to cut down noise and heat (which I will do as soon as I migrate the data over from my old 360) but I'm amazed that after 3+ years and numerous revisions, Microsoft STILL cannot get their console designed right.

To go off on a tangent, in terms of games, the 360 may be up there with the PS2 or the SNES but when it comes to the console itself, it is easily the worst most undependable game console/electronics piece I have ever owned. I got the RROD twice and among my circle of friends, 6 of us have 360s and 4 of us have gotten the RROD at least once.

Also, to another poster, I only ordered the migration kit yesterday and I don't expect to get it until next week sometime.

Sorry, there are now two Radio Shack threads. The coupon is on page 21 of the other Radio Shack thread.
It's a shame that the coupon would actually add $25 to the price since you can't stack discounts.
That's not true. I've been in and out of Radio Shack the past several weeks to know the ins and outs.

The Xbox Elite was a *clearance* item. The extra 10% off after X-Mas applies to clearance items only, and it still ongoing through 12/31. The $10 off coupon also could be applied to the same item.

I did exactly that for Gears of War 2. It was clearanced down to $49.99, the $10 off coupon was then processed to bring the game down to $39.99. Then the 10% off deal brough the game down another $4.

I've also done this on several other purchases, where I've bought two clearanced games for $17.99 each after the 10% discount + 1 small item to bring the before-tax order over $40, then applied the coupon. I've stacked deals several times with no problems.

Also GALVATRON, what *is* the migration kit?
what *is* the migration kit?
The migration kit is the kit you get from Microsoft that allows you to take the data off your old 360 HDD and port it over to your new one.

thanks alot for posting this.

I got one for 337 with tax. he said they would not accept the coupon on game hardware, gps and something else.

still a fabulous deal.

now i just gotta get a hdmi switch port

halo 3 so i can finish the story. maybe just rent it unless someone will let me barrow it for a week = P

and wait on Star ocean 4 that looks like it is shaping up to be a gem of a game.

This is not as great deal as it could be. Going to 4 stores today, two didn't even have systems. The other 2 had the 360, but it was the older elite models. So, they have reason for clearing them out, as they are somewhat unwanted.

havent studied the xboxes much but how can you tell the dif and does it matter? if iy has hdmi it should have everything every other xbox elite has right?

Maybe if they have Zephyr's but I doubt there's many of those out there. The one I picked up is a Falcon so I would hardly call those 'unwanted.'

Well, the model they're selling doesn't even have the two Holiday bundled games. A minor gripe, but it'd be nice to get the two extra games (even if it's just to dump them for profit).
I'm not a huge 360 expert, but from what I understand, you want the latest model chip set as it leads to less frequent RROD. This is definitely not what you're getting from RadioShack.

Edit* Sorry, if I misinformed anyone. I was talking about my experience today. I'm not the only one who has mentioned that they may not necessarily have the model listed in the OP. I walked into 4 stores, and only 2 had Elite systems. Of those 2, the models were from much earlier in the year. It's not my fault those stores haven't sold an elite system since January (or ever). Just because some got lucky, and walked into a nice store that had the same system listed in the OP, it does not mean everyone will (most RS stores suck)

1) Yes they do come with the two games, I got them. Maybe you just found a bad store.

2) The Elites Radio Shack is selling have Falcon chips, which, while not the brand new Jaspers, you'd be hard pressed to find Elite Jaspers anywhere yet from what I understand as the Arcades were the first ones to get those and those are pretty much all that have hit the market with the Jaspers so far.

So really, you should get your facts straight before trying to dole out your misinformation.
