As if Korean MMO Maple Story wasn't enough, Ragnarok Online has been announced.

Probably not, but just a question.
I might get into this, after seeing as how i didnt like the free trial of Ragnarok.
 
ahh the first mmorpg i've ever played, of course being a cheap ass, had to quit once it became pay to play :lol:

i'm curious how this would work online, though i can't really see an online mode being possible
 
Finally! I remember back when this was speculated when Nintendo had some internet viral stuff when the DS first came out. I think it was via warp pipe or some group affiliated with N. There was like a marionette used in one of the ads and it was concluded to mean "Mario Net" as in online play and the marionette was from Ragnarok apparently.
 
I dunno. Every time I hear about an MMO (Maple Story, Ragnarok), I think of Neopets. Anyone play Neopets? I was addicted to that damn game for about five years. Anyway, there were two console Neopets games. Neopets: Darkest Faerie for the PS2 and Neopets: Wand of Wishing for the PSP. Both of these titles were just games based on the Neopets' franchise, not ways to connect to an online community of players.

What we need is a Japanese translation of that pic that was posted. Maybe it says something revealing about gameplay.
 
This is my guess after seeing Maple Story DS and seeing how online DS games work online. There weill be some form of offline single player campaign, where you can wander around exploring and leveling up. Then there will be the online multiplayer component where you can party with 3 other people to do stuff, maybe like MVPing. I highly doubt this is an actual MMORPG, I still think its impossible for the DS hardware.
