How could they sell a code when it's been posted to a forum and if they don't redeem it straight away, somebody else will?

Incorrect. I'd say only about half of the people who drop codes, actually post the code in the forums. The other half do "lurker-free" giveaways in which only you and the person giving you the code know it. I've seen a lot of those codes show up in the Trading forum, which you can sell, as well as trade.

The McD's One Hot Holiday is a prime example. I'd say at least half of the codes that were dropped were farmed by members to trade/sell elsewhere. Although, calling them out and pointing a finger seems not to bother them the least too, which is sad
 
CAG Ultra Noob: 0-2 days - can't do much of anything 
CAG Newbie: 2-29 days (cannot use signature or create threads in Trading Forum)
CAG in Training: 30-269 days
CAG Veteran: 270-364 days and/or 250+ posts (can add images to signature)
CAGiversary!: 365 days and beyond and 50+ posts (can create custom titles)

CAG Vet can't be "and/or" because I've only been a member since Nov/Dec of last year but over 300 posts and still in CAG in Training group

EDIT: Thank you for the post though. I was currious about the requirements for each "group"

By what the site says, you should be fine with tossing em. This was posted back in September so I would think they got to those titles by now. I was wondering too so figured I'd post my finds

EDIT: Unless either code gives you extra DLC or something. You did say NFS was a LE code
