As you know... Sony announced a week or two ago that they were stopping production on this item...

and as you might know... prices for this item at Sears have been dropping for the past six months.....

but today... as luck would have it... the item was completely closed out of their system.... and as more YMMV luck would have it....
I was given mine for the lowly price of just $0.01.

This pretty much defines YMWV... but expect huge prices slashed and crazy instances for this item to be happening all over the place now... starting at Sears.

Highly recommended...and no....
You cannot beat the price. :wink:

Fort Wayne, IN Sears 69.99 had them scan it today- Good luck to anyone who finds one - Have the psone combo use it on trips to play ps2 on hook it up through the AV in was looking to pick up a spare
 
I believe, but are you sure this was not a return/open box? That could explain why no one else is finding these.

no. i will not sell you one. i only purchased one.. it was the last one there.

I think it's funny the people asking to buy one for $5 shipped or whatever.

Even if you had a bunch, why would you sell them that cheap? You might as well sell 'em for $25 - $30 each and make some good money off it.

PSone combo - 80
PSone screen - 130 (um...yay?)

and yes, i had them scan it...they even made a new sticker for the combo.

I know people were getting the combo for $50, but is $80 a good price fot it? I can actually get 20% off through my mother in law which would bring it down to $64!

you are exactly right joystickz, there are way too many nay-sayers when a good deal shows up and no one else can get in on it. I tried to help everyone out when I posted the PSOne LCD/Combo that I got for $30. what did I get in return for posting about the deal? a bunch of responses bitching about wasted time and questioning my honesty, requesting scans of my receipt, etc. for all the looking everyone did at the time, that was apparently the only combo that showed up at that price out of every Sears store that was checked.

but that doesn't matter. in case anyone hadn't really thought about it more than the four letter acronym that it is, YMMV means Your Mileage May Vary. put bluntly, it means the deal may vary to the point that you don't get in on it. YMMV does NOT mean everyone wants to see you whine and complain after you couldn't get in on the deal, the world is full of stuff you missed out on. go find your own deals, then come back and tell us how much great stuff you found at great prices, we're all ears. if I can get it on it too, cool. if not, I'll either be looking for other good deals or outside enjoying the summer, not typing in complaints about wasted time on an internet forum.

enjoy your LCD joystickz, you got a damn good deal. revel in that alone and don't sweat it if you're the only one who got in on it ;)
 
Rung up at 69.97 at my local Sears. I wonder if Sears is like Target where if the price ends in a certain number then there will be further price reductions?

There is a price scanner in the game section so it shouldn't be too hard to get a copy of the barcode and then scan it every week when I go in the store.
 
I don't question that Joystickz got the LCD Screen for one cent. Congratulations, I'd like to be so lucky. The problem I have here is that Joystickz posted this deal as an absolute for all Sears and claimed that in his post title. Look, mistakes are made, people get excited when they think they've found a great deal. I know I do. But I don't see any problem with Joystickz being questioned about a deal no one else could find. The post title has now been changed to reflect the actual deal, so other than lost time and gas no big deal.

Yes, a very good deal. When you see the quality of the screen you'll be quite surprised and happy.

Screw everyone else...you got one for a penny and you were nice enough to post it here about it (the whole point of these forums). After being lucky enough to get a combo at the Target clearance for 30 something I have to say that is one awesome deal. It is definitely a top notch screen. Enjoy it!

NEVER ONCE DID I SAY ALL SEARS. EVER. Did you actually read what I wrote?

after that... i mentioned in the post that it should be labeled a new term... YMWV - Your Milage Will Vary... so much so that i changed the title to YMWV.

third... after more people didnt bother to read what i specifically wrote about how it was obtained.... and more people complained than rather trying it out... i changed the title yet again to...(RARE INSTANCE) to lessen dissappointment from geniuses that don't even read what i wrote... and jump to the conclusion that i've said is was for "all sears."

please get the facts straight.
 
Joystickz, You are right. I confused your post about the Sony LCD screens with a post about the GBA version of Prince of Persia being $9.98 at all Target's. I'm the one who was mistaken. My apologies.

Right now, no. I live in MN at the moment, but I grew up in Oak Lawn and was back in town for the weekend. I will be moving back to IL in September. I'll be in Lockport so that'll be relatively close to Orland Mall.

BTW...I checked Chicago Ridge too....$69.97. :(
