rarest game you got sealed???
teh SPIKEOUT
Might as well open it, the game's being reprinted now.. should be everywhere by this time next week.

Fatal Frame 2 on XBox. Not rare, but it's the only game I still have sealed.

La Pucelle and a few other games i have a low interest in....pikmin, mad mistrio , and PN 40 something?!??!

oh well...gg everybody

Fighters Megamix for Game.com (It isn't rare). I have 2 copies so it is the only game that will stay sealed.

On another note, I can't believe DDR Disney Mix is rare! I have that game sitting upstairs right now, I love that game. I don't think I'd ever sell it though.

only sealed games i got are .hack 3 and 4 and gta sa and pocket fighters(been trying to trade pocket fighters for paper mario 1 mint and complete anyone interested pm me)

d00d it liek sold for 1000 on ebay last week, i'm hloding on teh rar3 SPIKEOUT

I also just don't like keeping games sealed, at one point I was opening up games i've had for a year only to find I hated them. Meaning it sat there taking space for a year. Rare or not if it stinks I don't want it in my collection, better to play and sell on ebay

Valkyrie Profile. Sealed. Bought it when it first came out and never got around to playing it. I may open it one day, if I have the time :p
Trying to use a game as an investment is the stupidest thing I've heard of since there was that guy on the Daily Show that was convinced that after the turn of the millenium, Pez dispensers would take over as the dominant form of currency.
Yup. I don't understand people's obsession with keeping sealed games or how every 5th thread is someone asking "does anyone know if X will become rare/valuable?" So what if it is worth $200 because $200 isn't shit.

Seriously you're right. If someone's into games simply to make money, they've come to the wrong web site. We're in it for the GAMES, people... Yes/no?
hmm i also got shadow hearts 1 and RAD sealed (but they don't worth as much as i hoped).
I sold a Shadow Hearts 1 - no wrap, but sticky label intact - for $63 shipped yesterday.

As of right now, the sealed games I have are Growlanser Generations, Spikeout: Battlestreet (those first two aren't getting opened), Killer7 GCN, Pikmin 2, FFIV Advance, Golden Sun 2, and Iridion II. Scratch that, I just opened Iridion (and threw out the box, since it was smashed).

Holy crap! I'm glad I didn't wait and just picked up both games for $35.. and I'm glad I got them because they're wonderful games.

And why is it that everytime someone mentions a rare game, people come in and cry about how it's stupid to keep games sealed and etc.? I used to open all my games before but ever since I realized that I might never get to playing some of them, I decided to leave them sealed until I get to them. If needed, I could sell a sealed game for a bit more money than an open copy which wouldn't have done me any good (since I wouldn't have played it and it would go for less). I agree that games are a horrible investment and it seems like a lot of people decide what games to buy depending on whether it's rare or not.

With that, I don't think any of my sealed games are really rare... SMT Nocturne was probably my rarest but not anymore since the atlus reprint.

That almost a core xbox 360 buddy. Quite a bit of money to me.

Maybe in the big scheme of things. But really, many people would disagree with you on that. Its a nice bit of change that could help you pay bills for the month, or buy a few extra presents for your kids etc. Or if you want to be really frivelous then its a nice restaurant and a show.

wait for it, wait for it! Chrono Trigger and the original guide brand new wrapped. Both price tags still on them. Also copies of Ring of Red, Gitaroo man, and Bangai - O for dreamcast.
Ive got a house of the dead game sealed for the sega saturn, non import, that worth anything?
No. Can I have it?

Just kidding, yeah it sure is. Non-sealed complete mint are worth about $50-$75, from what I can tell.

Holy crap - not so much at the game, but at the guide. I don't even want to think about how much that must be worth.

Damn. It was only about six or seven months ago that I bought my copy for $15 new. Easy to find at that price too.

Is it the old Nintendo Power guide? If so, I gots it too.

I got many sealed games, due to I do not play games as much as I did before, but do not think many of them are rare. The rare ones might be:

DragonBall Z: Budokai
Ridge Racer V
Tekken 4
Zone of the Enders: Second Runner

I even got a copy of Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance with a wrapper, there is a story behind why I took off the wrapper.;) The security seal is still very much intact, I did not even attempt to peel it off at all.

I have Dragon Warrior II for NES sealed. I'm not really sure if it's worth anything right now. Maybe in the future. Of course i've already played it through emulation legally since I own it.

And I guess you made the back-up yourself?

Sadly my rarest sealed game is probably Karaoke Revolution 2 for the PS2. I don't have many sealed games at all.

None of these are rare, I just thought I might as well post them.

I only have RE 4 : PE(ps2), Splinter Cell : CT LE(xbox), Metal Slug 4 & 5 (xbox), Fatal Frame 2 (xbox), Futurama (xbox) and Growlanser Generations Deluxe (ps2)

I got RE 4 PE just to support Capcom for making such an amazing game.

Splinter Cell we had at work for 5 months behind the counter in a glass case, no one bought it so I said f it.

Metal Slug I just haven't had time to play it.

Waiting to get Fatal Frame 1 until I open part 2

I have an opened copy of Futurama, bought the second one so Matt Groening could sign it at comic con, no dice.

I want to open Growlanser just to use the wacth, but I wont anymore seeing as I have a uber bad ass RE 4 watch my boss gave me.

the vast majority of my games are opened, because I play my games. Sitting there sealed doesnt do them any good. I guess it would have to be Growlanser Deluxe, unless you think Disgaea, Nocturne, or DDS are actually rarer, but I dont think so.

I've actually got all 4 NIS PS2 Games sealed (La Pucelle, Disgaea, Phantom Brave, Makai Kingdom). I buy two copies of the game, copy it to the hard drive, and sell it off, leaving me with the sealed one and I can still play the game.

I'm not sure if these would be rare, but since they're on some of the classic systems, I'm pretty sure it's safe to say they're rare.

(Of course, all of these are factory sealed)

SNES:

Super Castlevania IV

Nosferatu

Sim City

Ghoul Patrol

Sega CD:

Shining Force CD

Surgical Strike

Fahrenheit

Genesis:

E-Swat

Phantasy Star IV

I have quite a few games for the XBox, PS1, PS2, N64, Saturn, Dreamcast and GCN that are still sealed, but since those games are pretty much for systems released around 1995-2000, I don't consider them to be 'classic' systems.

ZOE2 and MGS2S are pretty rare in sealed condition. The cheapest copies of either one cost well over $100 on Amazon.

MGS2S for PS2 or Xbox? I've seen a lot of Xbox version of the game (have a sealed one myself). There might be some seal PS2 versions at a compusa near me (since people seem to rarely buy games there).

Also, I noticed that Amazon "dealer" prices are way over inflated. I remember when the two disc edition of Fight Club went out of print people on Amazon where charging $60-70 for a used copy of the DVD. That was almost triple the rate that it was going for on Ebay.

As for me these use to be rare sealed games but not much so anymore:
Disgaea
Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne

The only games I still have sealed are this current generations.

The only games I have sealed are a few I got for Christmas and the ones from the TRU sale. Otherwise, everything of mine is opened.

I guess DDS is the rarest I have sealed.

Not sure what my rarest I have on hand anymore is, Last year I sold my copy of Final Fantasy (nes) sealed and Exertainment Mountain Bike Rally/Speed Racer (snes) (that one will only get the crazed collectors excited) at the time one of only 5-10 known to be around.

My updated list:

Knuckles Chaotix - Factory Sealed (Sega 32x)
Steel Battalion - Factory Sealed w/ original cardboard shipping box!!! (Xbox)
Mario Dance Dance Revolution (Gamecube)
Kingdom Hearts (Non-GH) (PS2)

Funny story about my Steel Battalion:
I bought this when I worked part-time at a local Funcoland/GameStop when they had an annual Employee Appreciation week (extra 30% employee discount!).
I paid around $140 for this and immediately took it home and put it directly in my closet. I don't know why I bought it, other than the fact that I got such a good deal on it.
I keep forgetting I have this thing!!!

I guess Kirby's Avalanche for SNES?

got it for free about 2 years ago and never opened it because I already have about 30 versions of puyo-pop/bean machine

Cool. Glad I kept them sealed. :)
