Is this game any better than the original? I really really like the original so far (it was the first game I got for my new system).

Anyways I am wondering if its like Max Payne 2 where it got stellar reviews but the game blew compared to the original

Probably going to wait until it goes Greatest Hits before picking it up but was wondering if I should even bother with it or just go ahead and check out Sly Cooper or Jak

I'd say it's bigger and better in every way, though I admit it's essentially the same gameplay experience. If you liked R&C1 you'll like R&C2 at least as much.

edit: yes, I'd wait for it to go GH, since it's only a few months away.

thanks that is pretty much what I wanted to hear. I have become totally addicted to the first one and it is the best platformer I have played in a long time

Same here. I hadn't played a platformer in a long time, but then I got a 20 dollar gift certificate from EB and picked R&C up. Boy am I glad I did. It was just what the doctor ordered.

that was pretty much similar to why I picked up the game. I had 7 bucks left on a Best Buy product replacement voucher(you have to use it all ) and figured why not give R&C a try

It's better than the first, mainly because you can upgrade your weapons and there is more varied gameplay. Having played R&C1 though made it extremely easy, however you will play it through two or three times just to upgrade weapons and see their cool new features while having fun doing it.

I have both R&C 1&2, and if it wasn't for Up Your Arsenal (ad my little bro) I'd ditch my PS2 for something else. This series is incredibly awesome, some of the best platforming I've played. It, Jak, and Sly series are all great PS2 platformers... but otherwise I don't really care for my PS2. That's why I got my cube, zelda, metroid, viewtiful, mario, star fox, the platform/adventure games are just that much better.

But back on topic, Going Commando is like #1 on steroids. Here's to hoping #3 is that much better.

I'm looking forward to playing part 2 myself. I always hated 3-d platformers untill I picked up Jak and Daxter and Ratchet and Clank. My faith in the genre was totally reinstilled.

Yeah, R&C was the first platformer I had played since Crash Bandicoot. When I was playing it a few months ago, I was totally addicted, I think I'm gonna wait until Going Commando is GH, and then I'll get that one too.

I wanna try out Jak and Daxter too, haven't played that yet.

I put in a good 6 hours yesterday and can't wait to finish the game to play it again. I think all the CAPCOM games I got are going to get neglected until I finish my addiction to R&C
In my opinion its one of the funnest games I have ever played and i hate platformers XD
If you think R&C is funny, play Whiplash. That game is hilarious.

yea i finish the game in 3 days, without the ryno 2. :) its a blast. the best game i ever played, and the only game i actually beat without cheating and crap. :)
R&C 2 has such nice box art that you shouldn't let it go to GH before you buy it... I think : )
Only waiting for the GH to happen to drop the price so I can score a copy for 20 with original box art

yea, wait for GH unless you like that fancy boxcov, without the red GH over it. this game is a must for any ps2 collection. i love this game, its my all time fav where i can pick up shoot things for like an hour, and put down. eat and retstart the cycle
