Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One $48 at Newegg.com
Lol I was 1 minute late on my thread. Now I look dumb
Nah, you don't. It happens all the time. There's no way you could have known he was posting the same thing also, since you both posted at nearly the same exact time. It's not like you re-posted a topic that had been on the front page for hours (which has happened as well).

I shop at NewEgg rather than Amazon to avoid tax. Have been enjoying the beta so may get this. Ad also says Free Shipping.

It depends where you are. I can't really go with Newegg in almost all cases because I live in NJ so I have the tax. Amazon I don't, so Amazon gets 99% of my online business.

Ha, I am opposite, I live in NY and I get tax on Amazon and no tax on NewEgg.

:D
Next year California will be taxed from amazon as well
ikr, im screwed when that happens...being taxed on newegg AND amazon is gonna suck :fridge:

Added it and started checkout process to see if i'd be tax'd, wasnt.

Thanks OP, got it for 12 off.

Move to Oregon and you never have to pay tax at amazon, newegg, or any stores for that matter

Anybody know what game shipping is like from NewEgg? I use them all the time and get great service in NY when it's from Nj but I've never done a preorder. Website says shipping AFTER 10/18.
I'm surprised they charge you tax on a preorder. I preordered Dance Central 2 a while back and it came with free shipping and no tax.
depends on the state

I think the sale is for the weekend only.

You can try out the R&C beta. Its very different. I'm skipping out on pre-ordering this. The past two R&C games were short and disappointing. They didn't offer enough replay value for me to consider purchasing them for more than $20 each. I feel the entire series is in need of a dire revamp.

You're fuckin nuts.

Thanks OP, pre-order one!. Big fan of series and don't get where the last two games were short and disappointing as I put close to 30 hours into last one, I had a blast with it!. New one looks awesome and love the 4 player co-op thru story that will be lots of fun!.

First off big fan of the series as well, though I agree the ps3 versions are rentals at best, beatable in a weekend with no replay value, hardest thing in the last one was the clock puzzles. Anyway playing the beta and this game is nothing like the series, it doesn't play like it, it doesn't feel like it, it plays like a different game with ratchet and clank skins put on it. I suggest if you are thinking about buying this, getting in on the beta first, I thought I would at least be renting this and probably still will, but very disappointed in the beta.

One of my all-time favorite series, but not too sure about this entry due to the massive changes to the gameplay and structure. Guess I can't fault Insomniac for trying something new, especially since their previous entries I'm the series on PS3 were awesome, but no one bought them...

Well I cancelled my amazon order and went with this I believe the pre-order stuff will be DLC later on or its already in the game for me to find. I find it much easier for me to spend less than 50 for games than 60+ unless its a LE/CE.

Short game = In need of a dire revamp? Got it.

What exactly needs to be revamped?

No one bought them? They're Greatest Hits, so...

Are you positive about the preorder bonuses becoming available on PSN later? Did the preorder stuff for R&C:A Crack in Time become available later?

Its not about length its about the quality of the length provided. The game does not provide ample replay value for the price tag. The only replay value ACiT had was the "Challenge" mode and collecting bolts. Challenge mode was a joke. Its as if no effort was made to make it actually harder to play through. Collecting bolts is horribly boring and not very rewarding. I don't remember what the reward was but I think it was a skin or something simplistic like that. I didn't waste the time on that and I'm betting most other people didn't either. Most people, myself included, probably would have thought twice about reselling the game if they had bothered to put multi-player in it. Unfortunately, the multiplayer in this latest game isn't up to snuff and I can't justify pre-ordering it. It has a variety of issues that I outlined in this post.

Overall the design of the game has grown stale over the years. Platforming isn't challenging and its always straight forward. The enemies in each game are derivatives of enemies from previous games. The weapons are the same old weapons over again. Yes, new different stuff was added but for the most part its the same old thing we've been playing for years. Sometimes it feels so uninspired.

Don't get me wrong. I like Ratchet and Clank and I have been playing the series for years. I can't justify spending $60 (or $48 in this case.) on something that isn't going to give me bang per buck. Additionally, in the past the ps3 versions of R&C have received quick price drops after their initial launch.
