Ratchet & Clank GC question.

CAGiversary!
I just started playing ratchet and clank GC, I have heard that if you have a save file from the first game with all the weapons unlocked then you get 5 free weapons in GC. When I start the game I only have the Lancer and Gravity Bomb. Should I have the 5 weapons from the start or do I get them later in the game?

Thanks

yes you do get guns free if you unlocked them in the 1st r & c game but you definetly want to unlock the rhyno gun in the frist game for use in the other games. the easiest way to get it is to use the unlimited bolt trick in r & c 1 and buy it. btw the free guns will be given to you by a vendor in the game i believe. and to do the bolt trick i think you need a nongh version of r & c 1.

You get the guns from the vendor on the planet where you are attempting to join the racing league, but only after fighting through the "Battle the Natives" path.

Also, you should know that the free guns from the first game are VASTLY underpowered in GC. The only one that I found useful at all was the Suck Cannon.

the rhyno one was pretty cool. damn it all these retchet and clank topics are makin me want to buy all 3 of them. and the jak games too.

Hmm, I don't remember the Ryno one being one of the 5 free ones. Actually, I don't remember what any of them were other than the Suck Cannon - I just remember thinking they all were useless other than that one (since it doesn't really do any damage per se and is mostly good for clearing out crowds of little enemies).

Basically, the guns don't do nearly as much damage as they did in R&C1. Either that, or the GC guns do so much more that you don't want to use the oens from R&C1. IMO, anyway.
