Ravaged On Sale at $4.99 (Normally $9.99) and FREE DLC Drop

Hey all,

2 Dawn Games' vehicular first-person shooter, Ravaged, will go on sale this Thursday (December 20) on Steam, Rain, and other participating onlline retailers. Right now, the game costs $9.99 and during the Steam Winter Sale (December 20-January 4), it will sell 50% off, at $4.99. Plus, the 2 Dawn Games guys are coming out with a huge -- FREE -- DLC drop that same Thursday including new vehicles, weapons, maps, and more.

Incidentally, I have posted on the giveaway section from time to time, and to be full transparent, I do work for Reverb Communications, which publishes the game....which probably makes me a super evil robott in some folks minds :robot:. But I am not. I just strongly believe this is a good game, good deal, and the DLC is going to be pretty bad-ass...and it's Cheap Ass Gamer friendly cause it's free.

Thanks for the heads up, and for being honest about being an employee. I got way too many games going on right now to try to get into another multiplayer game but this seems decent. I do believe I saw it on sale for like $2 during one of the recent Steam or GMG sales though, but I could be mistaken. Has anyone played this and have any opinions?

Thanks for asking. Ravaged is $9.99 and has been on sale on various online retailers. It was priced at $2.99 for a single day -- a flash sale on steam -- during Thanksgiving. But it's going on sale Thursday for $4.99.

It was $2.49 on Dec 7th over at GamersGate (not including the price mistake which was around 60 cents). Was also $1.87 at GreenManGaming on Dec 8th.

from ign.com;
"Ravaged is a online multiplayer-only first person shooter game set upon a post-apocalyptic Earth devastated by natural disasters caused by the sun's solar flares. Engage in battle with weapons and vehicles in fierce, never-ending combat scenarios that involve skill-based gameplay and team objectives."

dumb question, so there is no single-player action? like a campaign or what not?

oh and CAG'rs, be nice. Open to the idea that a deal does not mean it has to be cheaper or as cheap a price as posted in the past. Skyrim was $10 at one point. Anyone finding it for under $30 now is still considered a deal.

No. More like TF2 -- just multiplayer fights.

Didn't say it wasn't a deal, just not a good deal. It's been less than $3 3 times within a month.. and surely it'll be cheaper than that again soon.

Ravaged can't be compared to Skyrim.. Skyrim is a top seller that had the potential to sell at higher prices even after having several sales.

It's fine to post about this deal, but I don't think it's worthy of a seperate thread.

Hey it could be a nice game. Doesn't every game deserve its own thread? Also your supporting development, not like its over-priced.

Thanks for the update, its rare to hear from people that work under the publisher

Yeah.. I so no issue with this thread... 9.99 to 4.99 is still a 50% drop. Sure it's been cheaper but if you want to get into this game 4.99 seems a good enough price point. Decent of the guy to advertise the sale in advance too... if somone was looking to buy this game today, then the y now know they can wait till tomorrow for a good discount.

Wasnt trying to come across as a hater, or unsupportive, just thought I should mention that its been cheaper. It may be a great game, and hopefully it is, and for $5 thats a great deal, but I figured we are on CAG so it should be noted

Yeah agreed on subway ... its one of the luncheon choices we have for training classes at work.... I always pray they don't pick that. Sadly they do probably 70% of the time.

This subway hate is just crazy. I mean they don't make the most unique sandwiches in the world, but it's just bread, meat, cheese, and veggies people and they don't do anything to mess it up.

Jersey Mike's is good, but pricy for a sandwich shop.

I usually agree with your opinions Fox, but this is where our paths diverge lol. Subway may make a simple product, but they do it so poorly with incredibly shitty ingredients. There's actually no sandwich chain in Massachusetts that I would say is actually good. Quiznos and D'Angelo also blow, so I stick to mostly pizza shops. Maybe I shoulda preceded that by saying I'm a fairly picky eater though.

Yeah, thanks for pointing out the cheaper prices. I think, in the end, a game that's less than $5 is a great deal no matter how you slice it -- especially with the amount of content 2 Dawn is coming out with tomorrow with its free DLC pack. Here's hoping some of you check it out and get to experience the new vehicles (i didn't say the word "tank" did I? :)), weapons, items, and the new map!

I think the same way. At this level of pricing I'm fine with a dollar or two up or down. I'm going to try this out since $5 is a good strike point for me.

Does it at least have bots for offline play? I was really interested in this right up until I found out it was multiplayer.

Yeah, I hate to be *that* guy but I usually only play single player, too.

I just got a free copy of this today for participating in the beta. Funny thing is... while I had a beta code and downloaded the game.. I never had a chance to actually play it.

So thanks to the devs for a free copy... hope I can check it out soon.
