Rayman is unpolished crap...stay away

I thought it was alright, not worth $50, but its a launch game so I bought it for my girl. I couldn't care less about the toliet humor, not really my thing.
This game sucks so much my wife and i played it for 5 hours straight last night. Absolutely horrible. It made me spend time with my wife. Damn you Rayman.
That's actually one of the best arguments in favor of Rayman! Chixdiggit!! :D

Under normal circumstances, I probably would've held off for a price drop, but launch madness can make a man do things he might otherwise not.

I don't feel ripped off at all, though. There's a sense of absurd glee throughout the game, and while some of the games (as has been stated) are more awkward than others, I've generally found it a joy to play.

Anyway, let's try to keep it civil, guys. I know Rabbids inspire great passion one way or another, but it's just a game.

Wasn't there a Rayman Arena game? So this isn't the first Rayman title to go a bit off the reservation. I guess if you go in with the wrong expectations this title could be horrible. Even still, no game is above criticism--even Mario and Zelda have flaws (*runs and hides*).

I think the main reason that this thread went the direction that it did was the fact that the title was and still is, "Rayman is unpolished crap."

When you start off a thread stating a game is just awful and then go on to say that you only played 3 of the mini-games, you lose any high ground that you had to stand on.

Gotta agree with this... if the thread title wasn't so strongly worded, the level of the negative attacks might have been a bit less. You may not like the game, but someone who does is obviously going to be pissed off by you calling it crap & telling people not to buy it .

I thought your review was a fair take. Nothing wrong with sharing your opinion; just don't be surprised when people disagree violently with it. It does seem to be especially true of this Wii forum, at least lately :)
I'm seeing a trend here with Ubisoft's early Wii contributions....
No. Stop posting.
All I know is the game certainly should have never been reviewed above 70%.
I was also quite surprised at how high of scores the game is getting. I don't feel it's above a 65% game. It's an okay game, and that's that. It's very short, the game are repetitive, and you have to unlock all these game before you can play them in mulitplayer. Sure, it's still fun, but to a point. Not a ton of replay value unless you have friends who are really into it. To me, that makes it a 6/10. That being said, I still like it. It's just not a classic, you know?
In regards to the bathroom door game, I've barely played it, but I think the angle at which you push at the doors factors into it.
Aim at the bunnies' crotch. That's where you'll get the best results.

Rayman Raving Rabbids is the game Rayman Arena should have been, IMHO. Did anyone else want to chew off their left arm after buying that fucking piece of shit? Ooooh, a foot race! :bomb:

Speaking of Rayman Arena, CML.
What the hell is wrong with the people in here. I have yet to directly insult anyone involved in this discussion here and have only been venting about the game, and honestly all I am getting in response is attacks, insults, and rude behavior.

I guess it is the Wii forum after all. Childishness FTW.
Things would have been ok had you simply left it at "I don't like the game."

The fact is that you claimed the game to be "broken" which it clearly isn't. Just because my reflexes weren't fast enough to handle Devil May Cry 3 on the higher difficulty levels doesn't mean that the game is broken. Stating your opinion and telling people not to buy the game based on a false statement are two completely different things.

Yeah I got the same kind of response when I said the graphics of a Wii game should at least be better than the original Xbox. Anyway, even if Rayman is great there's no way I'd pay $50 for a bunch of minigames.
I spent an hour with Bunnies cant close bathroom doors before quitting in disgust. It wasn't a reflexes issue, and it wasn't a broken wii issue...the hit boxes become nearly nonexistent when the doors swing more than 3/4 of the way open (too bad it was the first minigame...did serious damage to my impression of the game). And then there was pig in a minefield. Not exactly the best speaker to base an entire minigame on. Yea that one is loads of fun.

Last time I checked this was the Wii forum, and I'm entitled to bitch about whatever Wii-related stuff I want. Its a forum. If all you want is Ubisoft ball licking maybe you should be posting at their forums.

All I know is the game certainly should have never been reviewed above 70%.
Ah, well, the pig-in-the-speaker is easily the very worst game in terms of control AND fun. The bathroom one is interesting though - many people have had issues with that. I had no problem whatsoever, but I see where you are coming from. But, really, that is 4 of the 70 games (since those 2 get repeated once I think). In SMB maybe 5-6 of the 50 work ;). And I was nice to you.
