I'm going to be designing Sega Saturn DVD Thinpak cases for my games. I want to cut the collection down to an even 100.

Can I get a hand of what I can toss? Maybe its on another console, and better? I suppose I can toss games I cant read, what’s going on... let me know please! Any help would be much appreciated and maybe in the future I could do something cool for you. Thinking for now.

Just name the numbers of what I should Toss out. The goal is 100.

I'd probably get rid of SFA 1 & 2 (and Pocket Fighter) since the Alpha Anthology for PS2 just came out. KOF 96 and 97 are also available on the Orochi Saga collection on PS2.

I'd toss:
#54 (Fatal Fury 3) - In Japan the Garou Densetsu Battle Archives 1 were just released. It has FF1, 2, special and FF3 all in really good quality. And since there will be a second battle archives you could get rid of #112 (Real Bout Fatal Fury Special)

#87 (Magic Carpet) - The PSone version is much better

#95 (Mortal Kombat II) - Get the Midway Arcade Treasures 2 for PS2/GC/Xbox. It has an arcade-perfect version of MK2, better than the Saturn version and on top you get MK3 and a bunch of other enjoyable games.

#113 (Resident Evil) - I still have my PSone Resident Evil and will keep it but only for nostalgic reasons. The Gamecube remake is the definitive version of this game. So if you own a Gamecube get rid of the Saturn version.

And just as SMMM already said you could get the Street Fighter Alpha Anthology for PS2 and in addition to the games he mentioned that would also remove #151 (Street Fighter Zero 3) from your list.

Apart from these games there are some games on your list that I don't know so I can't say anything about them, and there are some games that I would toss just out of personal taste.

Well, whatever you do, don't toss them. There are some Saturn fans out there that would love to either have them, or pay for them depending on the title. I know there are some on there that I would love to pay shipping on.

That said:
#141 - I won't ever get rid of my copy, but the Mega Collection (and upcoming collection) will do you nicely
#39 - I would think that the DC version would be better, if you had a DC.
#137 - available in so many other formats

The only other selections I could suggest were to be decide which of the multiple variations of titles is the definitive one (out of the VF series, Bust-a-move, etc) and keep it, unless any of these said titles are valuable.

And for the love of God man, if you aren't planning to keep original cases, I have a handful I'd like to replace.

I don't think he literally means he's going to toss them in the garbage. Probably sell em on ebay or put them on his tradelist here.

oh, and I totally forgot about the FF collection. Thanks for the heads up, Kaiser.

Maybe this isn't appropriate to ask, but do you really have all these games, or are they "backups"? Cause this would be the sweetest collection on earth if they were all legit.

I'm not sure what to tell you other than that is one of the best saturn collections I have ever seen. Some games like primal rage or nba jam are available on quite a few systems, so getting rid of those wouldnt hurt. Send me a PM when you decide what you are getting rid of. I would be interested in quite a few things in your collection.

Primal Rage and Mortal Kombat II = Midway Arcade Treasures 2 (My Sears was clearing them out for $5 a couple of months back)

Primal Rage is one of my favorite, stupid fun games. Dinosaur fighting is priceless.

Dump all the Capcom Generations... all the games are on Capcom Classics Collection for PS2 / Xbox.

Dump the Megaman games, the MM collections are excellent.

If you can play imports on your PS2 you can dump pretty much every SNK game, as they have arcade perfect ps2 ports.

You can dump all the Street Fighter games for the same reason... SF Zero 3 goes for a good amount of money, I think I got $50 for mine a few weeks ago, it paid for SFA Anthology + extra left over.

Get rid of Powerslave, it's available for free on the PC through Underdogs, its fairly dated at this point, and can get $20 or so on Ebay.

Get rid of Shining Force 3 scenarios 2 + 3 if you can't understand them... ditto with DF 2. Unless you have FAQ's and you really love them.

Same with Grandia... it might be the better version but what point does that make if you can't understand it.

Golden Axe: The Duel is a horrible game that people pay good money for if its the US version.

What games should you KEEP, no matter what:

Guardian Heroes
D&D Collection
Legend of Oasis
Elevator Action Returns
All the Marvel Capcom fighters as those aren't replacable
The shmups that aren't replacable
Shining Force 3
