Rebates from ebgames.com

Indiana

CAGiversary!
Does anyone know how long it takes to get rebates from ebgames.com? I mailed my forms in a month ago and I have not received the code in my email yet.

Has anyone received codes from Max Payne 2 or Tenchu?

Thanks,

I'd be curious about that too. I think the form says allow 6-8 weeks, though I've received rebates faster than a form has indicated in the past. (I've also had them take longer...)

Since this isn't a 'real' rebate I'm guessing there isn't a website like www.wheresmyrebate.com we can use to track the status, is there?

Well I made a copy of my rebate form for my records and it has no information regarding how to find out the status of your rebate.

Do the rebates expire? I'v had a $15 one laying around for a few months and I'm waiting until MP2 to use it - there is no expiration date on the rebate itself but I don't want EB pulling some crap...

In my experience with EB Games rebates from last year, it usually takes a full 10-12 weeks to receive your rebate information back through the mail, regardless of the 6-8 weeks process time they suggest. I was hoping they would send the codes through e-mail (more quickly than my past rebates), but it appears I was only kidding myself.

When I sent my rebate in for Wario World and 1080, I got the emailed rebate code in about a week. I've never heard of a turn around that quick before.

But to make up for it, I sent in one for Alias last month and it still hasn't arrived.

So who knows...

If you buy online, you should receive the coupon codes via e-mail.
If its taking longer than its listed on the form, definitely contact EB.
I've had this happen before and they emailed my coupon soon after I contacted them.

DO they ever run out of rebates. I was going to buy a few games that had rebates but it was the last day or two and i thought they all be gone

I had a similar problem with my rebates, since the envelope I sent to the post office was damaged in shipment, which made me think all the packing lists, UPC's, etc., were all fsck'ed up by the USPS.

I called them up and asked to speak to someone in the rebate department about a week ago. Spoke with a woman named Mia, who looked up my information from the order numbers, did something on her end, and took care of the issue. She said it should take a week or so for them to be sent out.

Called them on the same phone # for the website 877 432 9675 .

They said I should have them sent out to me tomorrow when I checked with them this morning.

How could they run out of $X codes that they themself create? Just doesn't make sense.

6 to 8 weeks was my experience, snail mail. expiration is usually one-year from issue; in small print near bottom.

waiting for rebates kinda sucked, plus you 'have' to spend it there.

i'd rather have instant savings. Gosh, CAG has helped tremendously in that department.

Slidecage doesn't make sense, wubb. You've been around long enough, you should know this by now.

exactly...hahahha

the code comes through email...so hopefully it wont be more than 4 weeks

i got my code in my email today from ebgames.com for max payne 2

paid $9.99...traded it in for $10 after i beat it....and got $20 rebate...not bad :)

If you don't get your rebates just email ebgames. I recently forgot I had never gotten my Ninja Gaiden rebate, so I emailed them and they sent me the code via email right away.

Got mine, too! Sweet. Alias for $10 plus a $10 voucher. And I'm actually enjoying the game. (And once I'm finished with it I'll turn it into some cash on eBay.)

My opinion is that clause refers to the game the rebate is being offered on.

While supplies of the game last. Not while supplies of the gift vouchers last. If you really want to get to the bottom of it e-mail eb support a question.

(Please post your e-mail and their response.)
