Countdown to May 30th, 2008 is up at reboot.com

Unfortunately I think it's going to be the spin-off series from the Zeroes2Heroes contest, but here's to hoping it's something good.
Is this that CGI animated show with the family in a computer?
Not entirely accurate but close enough, although it sounds like you haven't seen much of it since the first season. Watch Seasons 2, 3, and 4, it gets pretty dark and morbid later on.

I'm hoping for some super awesome DVD Season sets! All I have to keep me going right now is the Daemon Rising/My Two Bobs disc.

Sweet. I loved this show. I used to watch it on UPN in the morning before school all the time. I hope they do release seasons, because I would snatch those up.

I liked this show, it got a little weird near the end. What with enzo and that girl suddenly being full grown adults. Didn't everything go back to normal at the end of the show?

I remember watching the first few episodes and really liking it, as it appealed to the huge computer nerd in me with the lingo and the games.

Then it seemed like it disappeared.

Then I found some episodes and it was ALL KINDS of fucked up. I had no clue what was going on. And then there was a musical episode that explained the previous 2-3 seasons or so.

I still don't know what the hell happened. I think I tried to look up DVD releases one day, and they were all released in Australia and nowhere else or something.

Yeah, although the first 1.5 seasons worth of episodes could be viewed in any particular order, any episode after the whole "GigaByte" arc needs to be viewed in order.

From there, the series takes on a much darker tone,
fights a war with the World Wide Web, and follows the tale of Enzo and Andraia in search of Bob prior to waging a final battle with MegaByte for MainFrame by the end of Season 3.

Season 4 is really a compilation of 2 "movies", those being "Daemon Rising" and "My Two Bobs".
Daemon Rising plays directly off of Season 3, in which several warnings of Daemon taking over the Web were given, and My Two Bobs is the stepping stone for a return of MegaByte, now transformed into a Trojan Horse virus due to exposure from the Web.

Unfortunately, the actor who played the voice of MegaByte passed away some time ago, so it's really a toss up as to what direction the next season to go in, but I'm guessing it is the spin off from the Z2H contest.

One thing I really like to do is identify voices across movies/games/tv shows/etc. I especially cherish a really unique voice.

This guy (Tony Jay) definitely had an incredible one. He could resonate a real sense of majesty, yet at the same time, menace.

Didn't know he died, but I'll miss him definitely.

They could get the guy who did Ego from Ratatouille. He would be a satisfying substitute.

Following its aquisition by the Rainmaker Income Fund in 2006 Mainframe Entertainment was renamed Rainmaker Animaton. In 2007, Rainmaker then announced plans to create a trilogy of ReBoot films with illustrator/animator Daniel Allen as the lead character designer. Rainmaker Animation executive vice president Paul Gertz stated, "ReBoot's legions of fans have been incredibly loyal and continue to keep the property alive on dozens of fan sites."[4] In conjunction with the website Zeros 2 Heroes, Rainmaker announced an intention to allow fans greater access to the development of the movie plans and also in development of a ReBoot webcomic. Fans were given the chance to submit their own art and designs, with the potential to end up as an artist on the project, and their feedback ensured which one of five ReBoot pitches won.[4][5]

The winning pitch was ReBoot: Arrival,[6]. Rainmaker will monitor feedback for the comic but may not use it as the basis for their movie plans.[7] Four ReBoot fans have been chosen to work as artists on the Arrival comic.[6] According to the pitch at the Zeroes2Heroes website, Megabyte's Hunt has developed into a Net-wide war so pervasive even other Viruses are united against it. The Users have gone, spending their time in an unending MMORPG Game. A sentient System named Gnosis is created as a way to stop Megabyte, but goes rogue and begins enslaving Systems in its attempt to gain User-like powers. Two teams of heroes are assembled to stop Gnosis and bring back the Users, which will include new characters and a one-off character named Lens the Codemaster, from Season 2.

A ReBoot website has been discovered with a countdown,[8] ending on May 30, 2008, at 12:00 A.M EDT.

This has to be some of the dumbest censorship ever.

In the episode "Talent Night", one scene of Dot giving a kiss to her brother Enzo was cut due to BSP's fear of promoting incest, an insinuation which Pearson described as "one of the sickest things I've heard.

I just wanted to point out that I think it's hilarious you hotlinked incest instead of the actual source of the news tidbit you're bringing up.

eh i would have been excited for this years ago but now i dunno. the stuff with enzo growing up in the games all hardcore was cool . bu tthey kept stoping it and bringing it back and then they had the infected guardian dealy and changed bobs voice and that was it for me.

i remember when the ps1 games came out man i was so excited to buy it till i got it home and played it.......maybe someday they will give it a proper game but before that i want a thundercats , mask and a gen1 transformers game. oh yeah and silverhawks.

I already linked the wikipedia article once , you did also, kind of redundant at this point. That link is in the wikipedia text.

What you got against the triple-linkage, motherfucker? Huh? Huh?

All the cool kids call it triplinkage.

Not to be confused with obscure British actor Triplink Age.

I remember this along with a homeslice of Bump in the Night...

Hopefully, it's not like the crappy gay remakes like the new Transformers. I liked it for the animation pretty much not anything else.

thats a good point will it be computer animated still or will they go the cheap route? i hope they up the quality maybe get it looking and moving like eon kid.

The new Transformers (Transformers Animated) is pretty good, written by the folks who did Teen Titans. Like ReBoot, it looks kiddy but isn't and has a depth to it that isn't apparent at first glance.

Beast Wars and Beast Machines were done by Mainframe, the same people who did ReBoot.

All the Transformers series in between are a different story, and are arguably crappy (though I see little that's gay about them, other than the Decepticon fondness for purple).

I liked this show. I should probably watch it somehow. But then again, I did sorta watch it out of order, so I had no idea what was going on, but I liked the idea of the show. It was awesome.

Nobody else said it, so I will...

Bump In The Night kicked a lot of ass too (in the Saturday morning kind of way), thanks RelentlessRolento!

My fiancee is very excited about this and I hope for her sake they do make a movie. I remember reading an interview with Dan Didio (President of DC comics) and him stating he was the main reason the show got cancelled.

It's a damn shame Tony Jay is gone, because no one else could do Megabyte justice.
