Reboot Mainframe Edition Preorder at Amazon $48.99

DVD...for $70??? and we're back in 2004!!

I mean, I realize that BD probably isn't applicable to a series so far ahead of the format, but still, it wouldn't have been that hard, and since its a show based on technology, it only seems fitting to have the best!

CGI designed and rendered for 480i... what did you expect?

They're trying to be able to market this to as wide an audience as possible, so DVD is the way to go.

Guess I should search out an episode on youtube or something to see if it still holds up, unlike many other of my childhood favorites. Don't know if it is the tone or tempo of the voice actors' speech or what, but I literally get a headache when I try to watch multiple episodes of He-Man or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Just watch a handful of "Denver: The Last Dinosaur" episodes and boggle at how dumb you were as a child...

I know I did.

gwaahhh, good call..didn't think about it like that obviously. I guess I just think its too pricey to illicit any kind of day one purchase..less than $50 would have been good.

I can see Shout! releasing season 1 and 2 then backing out on the other seasons. This has happened to many good of shows....

Not with Shout! it hasn't. Disney and Sony are the companies you need to watch out for.

Ya, I'm still waiting on the last set of Tale Spin and Ducktales which will probably never come. But Shout has abandoned some series. They released the first volume of C.O.P.S., did the next one only off their web site, and then never released the last volume.

What a tease that was

Just grab if off of Hulu, I did since it looked like it was the only way to watch it. I'll buy the season 2 dvd if and when released, but I wanted to make sure I had access to the full series if it never materializes.

Me, I'm still waiting on Silverhawks Vol. 2....

...and Ducktales Vol. 4, SIGH...

Why is everyone complaining about unfinished series when the OP posted about the complete series? Even if they don't follow up the first set on amazon the whole thing will be available in the Mainframe edition.

Wow...lay off the coffee and uppers dude.

And if you bother reading, it was relevant as it was based off the fact that some of the series related to this had been not completed, that's why we talked about others we were waiting on, some people get too OCD about what SHOULD and SHOULDN'T be included in threads...that's the mod's job, not yours, so chill. ;)

Just glad Reboot is finally getting some love, plus Ocean Group dubbing, nice package all around.

Awesome, I love me some beast wars, too bad I already own all of it. Aw, the reboot complete series isn't coming out til june, I was gonna ask for it for my birthday from my wife. I still may.

Hmm, per that thread it looks like there is currently an issue with the timing of the episodes for the complete series and S1+2 release. They run slightly slower (around 24 FPS) than the original broadcast versions (25 FPS) resulting in slower sound which was pitched up to minimize the offness. This means the episodes run about two minutes longer.

One of the examples posted is this, DVD on the left, broadcast source on the right. You will notice the video on the left has a head start but is overtaken by the broadcast version by the end of the clip.

It may be fixed by time for retail release, but if you get S1 + 2 now you would have to deal with replacements later if they end up fixing it. If you haven't watched any reboot for awhile, apparently it isn't that noticeable depending on what type of sound is playing.

Yeah, not like this board gets a lot of traffic anyways.

That said, never watched Reboot but heard good things. Wish Shout! would release every old Nickelodeon show though. I'd pay $100 for a complete Are You Afraid of the Dark? set, one that isn't an eBay bootleg.

Interesting! Even though I can *barely* tell the difference and don't care that much. I'll be buying no matter what!

All the seasons of Are You Afraid of The Dark were released on DVD in Canada. I think most are oop though.

Amazing. This was my favorite show as a kid (and I still enjoy it today), so I'm really stoked. Hi-def would be nice, but I really don't even care; I just want some damn ReBoot.
