I've always lived in an apartment where the managers have done the major repairs so I've never really familiarized myself with tools. I'm starting to look for a good tool set that is inexpensive and will give me the basic tools I need around the house for minor repairs.

I was looking on Amazon and ran into this Denali Tool Set that looks half way decent.

Anybody have any other recommendations for tool sets that won't cost me $100+?

Check sears especially right now during this season. Craftsman are still a pretty good set.

Otherwise a little known fact is that Home Depot's tools (Husky brand) are lifetime warranty and are actually made where Sears "Craftsman" tools used to be made.

I've seen tool sets for sale for Christmas at Home Depot for around the same price and number of pieces as your link. As long as it has a lifetime warranty it will be good forever. There's no need to spend a lot on name brands.
