Recommendations on Real-Time Strategy Games

I looking for a great real-time strategy to play, any suggestions. Either XBLA or retail game. Thanks in advance!

Battlestations Midway could be described as a real time strategy game, it's a bit different from LOTR:BFME and C&C.

I would almost classify The Outfit as an action-real time strategy.

It's pretty underrated and can be found for under $10.

It is a great co-op game too.

Outpost Kaloki X on the XBLA. No battles, but it is real-time and strategy.
I believe Viva Pinata would qualify as well.

Universe at War will be coming out shortly, and it's a RTS game.

Band of Bugs isn't too bad either. It's too bad you don't have a PS3 or else I would recommend Pixel Junk Monsters.

the 1up guys were raving about universe at wars controls.
i have bfme2 and cc3.
cc3 feels a lot better than bfme2 and im not sure why.

Command and Conquer 3 is fantastic....too band I've only rented it. I do own LOTR Battle for middle earth and it is quite a bit fun as well.

What would you recommend to someone who's never played an RTS before? What's a good entry point?

FYI, I'm a Halo nut and I plan on getting Halo Wars.

So C&C3 is really that good? I don't think my PC would be able to run it, but I have my doubts about an RTS on a console.

It's good but different feeling from a PC RTS. It seems much more fast paced because the game itself doesn't really focus too much on mining resources.
