Hi everyone. I a currently in the market for some gaming headsets. So far I have narrowed my choices down to the X11 and X31 because they are in my price range and have some good reviews

What I am looking for is:
-Solid Gameplay Audio
-IMPORTANT = Solid Game Chat
-UBER IMPORTANT = NO HISSING
P.S. Sorry for caps, but those two important points are my to main points.

I am leaning toward X31 but I have owned some Sony wireless headphone and they would make the annoying hissing in the background so that is why I am nervous about buying wireless, but at the same time I would prefer not having to manage cables.

So my question is: Have any of you tried or currently use these two headsets and what do you think about them in terms of what I am looking for? X11 or X31?

Thank You

P.S. Sorry I posted this in the wrong forum earlier, so if you saw it there, I apologize.

The X11's and the X31's are exactly the same except for power. The X11's are wired USB powered wired and the X31's are battery and RF. I tried the X41's and I couldn't get rid of the hiss, popping and cracking so they went back and I got the X11's. I like them a lot. Some people have problems with the RF from routers and phones. Wired always works better but if you don't want wires around the X31's would be the ones to get.

Thanks for the replies guys. I think i will get the X11, i just cant stand the hissing noise its the one that that really bugs me. Anyways I'll keep a eye on this thread and if any one has any other advise please tell me, I don't want to commit right away

I have the X11 set and it's great, though I can hear a faint hiss sometimes if the game audio is completely silent. Game volume turned up and it's fine.

I will warn you of this though. Don't bother using the charge cable while using the headset as it will make a loud buzzing sound. It's super annoying to the point that I'll actually go back to AAs and charge the battery in another controller. It's done it on all the controllers I have except for the controller that died completely. Ain't that some luck.

What he said. I have had the x11, x31 and the x41. They are all quality headsets but the wireless from the x31 and the x41 interferred with my laptop and my wireless connection on my xbox 360 to the point where it would cease to load any webpage or connect to live until I powered off the receivers.

Also with the wireless versions the hissing and popping is quite annoying, the x11 to me had the best sound because the popping and hissing was not noticable and had the best build quality imo.

Actually you might want the X3's, the older model of the X11's. They use an infrared signal instead of an RF frequency so there is no interference from your stuff. They're cheaper too.

I have the X11 though and I like them. There is a faint hum in these and I still don't know how to get rid of it. I'm thinking about getting the DSS, dolby surround thingy; it makes these headphones produce Dolby surround in my head. It's like 90 bucks though. It is a cheaper alternative to the X41 though.

I got the X11 from dell for $35 awhile back and it was money well spent. The hissing sound is annoying but other than that i have no complaints.
