Gamezebo review:

"Princess Isabella: A Witch's Curse is a little strange (one of the items I had to find was a "twisted neck") and seems to have something against snakes (the game considers them "evil"), but its healthy variety of well-crafted puzzles and hidden object searches make for a challenging and creative fairy tale. The game's ending hints at a possible sequel; here's hoping we get to see another chapter of this story."

Pros: Plenty to do. Satisfying variety of challenges. Great look. Helpful map.

Cons: Aggravating and just plain bad voice acting. Questionable "evil" things - like snakes and fireflies. Stressful final scene.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars; Player reviews: 4.5 out of 5

Gamezebo review:

"Farm Frenzy 3 takes a big jump backwards in gameplay, while adding more of a story and some international locations. Sadly, though, the result is also a step backwards in fun. It's still a playable game, but it lacks the charm of earlier titles."

Pros: Excellent replayability, choice of strategies, fun to see new animals in new countries, outstanding upgrade choices

Cons: Slow rendering. Dubious ethnic portrayals. Unoriginal story. Pacing is off compared to earlier titles.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"By constantly keeping players amused and intrigued, the game never fails to impress, even if you'll eventually tire of engaging in the same repetitious base play mechanic. Looking for a way to waste a few days, however, that's at once both familiar and yet strangely novel unto itself? Given the selection of digital diversions currently available online, you could do much worse than Ricochet Infinitely - and not much better."

Pros: Powerup selection. Added bonuses. Level design. Handling. Constantly keeps you guessing.

Cons: Can get repetitious. Soundtrack. Menu graphics/supporting visuals.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

GameSpot Review:

Were it not for a lack of multiplayer options, Tik's Texas Hold 'Em would be an ideal game for a hold 'em fanatic. As it is, however, it makes a fine choice as a single-player game, offering a competent artificial intelligence for computer players and a veritable wealth of options for games. Your two primary game types are cash games and tournament-style games. You can set these to limit, no limit, or pot limit, and for the really hardcore, dig in really deep to set blind structures, ante levels, payout levels, and more.

The tournament options are particularly impressive; the computer can simulate multitable tournaments of hundreds of players, with AI opponents shuttling in and out of your table as they would in a large poker tournament in real life. If you get tired of these, there are customizable situational games, where you take the role of a player in the middle of certain scenarios. This lets you practice being the short stack at the end of a large tournament, for example. Tik combines all this with an attractive presentation, to boot.

Gamezebo review:

"As if you needed additional proof between recent releases like Luxor 2 and Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst, along comes The Treasures of Montezuma to reinforce the old maxim: Not all casual games are created equal. One of the most catchy and engaging puzzlers we've played in quite some time, the title's production values are matched only by its ingenuity, addictiveness and general flair for captivating an audience."

Pros: Gripping storyline; Novel power-up and upgrade system; Sweet sound and graphics; Features several intriguing twists

Cons: Single play mode; Time commitment required

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

If you like Bejeweled, you will love this game. To me it is the best game of this type yet released. I think the Gamezebo review is too low, with their main complaint being the levels take a long time to complete later in the game. I personally think that is a good thing. For $2.95, this game is a real no-brainer.

Reflexive has been running some of the very best games they have lately for $2.95, games that would please a lot of you out there. This one and yesterday's Ricochet Infinity will definitely make hardcore gamers happy, too. Not sure why these games get ignored.

Today's Reflexive $2.95 Game Of The Day is:

Monarch: The Butterfly King - A match 3 game. This is basically Big Kahuna Reef reskinned with a butterfly and flower theme. It is still very good and has hundreds of levels.

Click here for Monarch: The Butterfly King

No coupon required. Offer ends at midnight PDT.

I will update this post every day for the new game each day.

Gamezebo review:

"One of Monarch's strengths is its replayability. Not only do players have more than 150 increasingly challenging levels to tackle, in either the Action or Relaxed mode (time limit or no time limit, respectively), but you can also unlock more levels in the Secret Gardens area, download more levels online (www.monarchthebutterflyking.com) or even create your own levels and share them with others. There's even a mode called Mouse Party, that lets multiple gamers play on the same PC at the same time, so long as you have an extra mouse or two around."

Pros: Fun 3-in-a-row game; many levels and power-ups; cute story

Cons: It's an overcrowded genre, and nothing really new is added to it; very similar to Big Kahuna Reef games

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

Sparkle - A popular marble popper game similar to Zuma and Luxor.

No coupon required. Offer ends at midnight PDT.

I will update this post every day for the new game each day.

Gamezebo review:

"The makers of Sparkle clearly aren't trying to re-invent the wheel. They stick pretty closely to the Zuma formula, and while the innovations they do bring to the table are neat, they certainly aren't as whacky or creative as others that we've seen. Also, the game gives the impression of showing its hand too early - most of the power-ups show up early on in the game so that there are long stretches of levels where nothing new is introduced to keep things fresh.Still, for marble shooter fans who need to kill time before the next Harry Potter book comes out, Sparkle is worth a look."

Pros: Fun power-ups and amulets, branching paths on map, interesting theme, multiple game modes

Cons: Core concept is not new, levels could use more variety

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

May get this, even though I typically don't get into Zuma-style games. I have Sparkle on my iPod, and it's one of my favorite games on the platform. I'm assuming the PC version is similarly excellent and fun. Don't know why this particular version grabs me when other takes on the game don't, but this one is very slick and very fun for me. Thanks for the heads-up, Otty.

I've never played Sparkle, not really into the Zuma things myself, but a lot of people really like this one for some reason. My favorite popper game like this is Atlantis Sky Patrol. Stoneloops is pretty good, too. I actually have Stoneloops for iPhone before Apple removed it. Mumbo Jumbo, makers of Luxor, got Apple to pull it saying it infringed on Luxor. Well, Luxor is nothing but a Zuma clone itself. And Zuma is nothing but a Puzzloop clone...

Gamezebo review:

"Cradle of Rome is an enjoyable three-in-a-row diversion with some interesting twists. So, give it a try. Its resource-matching play provides a solid foundation for fans of the genre."

Pros: Charming graphics and catchy music. Resource-based matching. Addictive play.

Cons: Only one game mode. Restarts at beginning of last epoch (stage).

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Click to read the Gamezebo review of Cradle Of Rome

Cradle Of Rome is one of those rare games, like Bejeweled, Zuma, Mystery Case Files, Build-A-Lot and Diner Dash, that became really popular for doing something new and then was cloned by every other game maker. Some were official clones, like Cradle of Persia, but then there were Age Of Emerald, Caribbean Hideaway and many others. Cradle Of Rome is so popular it even spawned console versions. It's an addictive and fun game.

Gamezebo review:

"Hide and Secret: Treasure of the Ages isn't horrible, but it's lack of ingenuity, dialogue that will make players roll their eyes and some evident game-play issues all result in a slightly below-average experience. Perhaps if the developers took the time to add something new to the genre and better playtest the game-play, it would be worth playing. But as it stands, let Jacques steal the treasure - it ain't worth going after."

Pros: Accessible game-play; colorful comic book storyline

Cons: Does not do anything new for this genre and what it does the same, it does not do quite as well; too easy; some items look too similar; lots of item repetition; only one game mode; poor voice acting

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"In the end, Virtual Villagers: The Lost Children provides an engaging, entertaining and rewarding experience. It may not appeal to those seeking instant gratification, but it should to almost everyone else. Actually, if you're not careful, these virtual villagers will easily distract you from real-life activities like eating, sleeping and...well, you get the picture. It won't beat a trip to the Cayman Islands, but it will warm your heart. "

Pros: Persistent game world, addictive play, "attachment" factor, good replay value.

Cons: Zoom capability needed, some puzzle solutions are unclear, villager grouping would be helpful.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"If it were measured by graphics alone, Alawar's Smash Frenzy 3 would receive an undisputed A+ on the Gamezebo report card. It's a visually stunning adventure with colourful 3-D visuals that will truly impress even the most finicky of players. But after you strip away the eye-candy, the game-play is simply a barely-above-average brick-breaking arcade game that's not too different than similar titles, and with relatively low replayability."

Pros: Gorgeous 3-D graphics and animation; many power-ups; cute music; easy to learn

Cons: Only one mode; all power-ups given to player right away; some graphical bugs

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"In Fairy Godmother Tycoon, the name of the game is potions. Fairy Godmother has built a vast empire in the land of Onceuponia (say it out loud) by creating and selling potions to peasants to remove various curses. As her assistant, you'll help her manage and expand that empire by doing things like buying ingredients, setting prices, purchasing upgrades to your shop, and hiring goons to intimidate the competition."

Pros: Funny and well-written dialogue; Deep gameplay (but not too deep); Unique ideas; Many humorous fairytale references

Cons: Store interior a little too small on the main map; no online multiplayer component

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars

There is no review of this game on Gamezebo. The Chicken Invader games play kind of like Galaga. Instead of space bugs, you are shooting chickens and eggs. It is really silly but fun.

The average player rating on Reflexive is 5 out of 5 stars.

There isn't a Gamezebo review of this game, Amazonia. I own it and can tell you it is a very good Match 3 style game.

Gamezebo review:

"Magic Academy is one of the better hidden-object games available. Fans of the genre will find the experience a magical delight. It's an academy worthy of your enrollment."

Pros: Pleasant graphics and audio, great atmosphere, enjoyable mix of puzzles, characters integrated well with narrative.

Cons: Somewhat brief, limited replay, only one mode.

Gamezebo review:

"While distinctive in the causal game space, Grimm's Hatchery's game-play can get monotonous over time, though it is somewhat fun to take care over a handful of animals and negotiate with the townsfolk to buy and sell eggs and pets and other items."

Pros: Unique game concept; many pets and items to buy; relaxing game-play

Cons: Somewhat dull execution; simple graphics; not mass market appeal

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Weird... Reflexive is having server issues, but their deal is up. And Gamezebo has deleted their review of Grimm's Hatchery. The above came from when this game was run earlier...and with Big Fish not even having a Daily Deal today...not a good day for casual game deals!

Gamezebo review:

"Ultimately, the only disappointment to be found in The Apprentice is the slightly shoddy handling of parts of the license. Trump's audio clips are brief and sound like they were recorded in a tin shack, while the team-based aspects of the show could've been played up more to create additional appeal for fans of the show. But as it stands, you don't have to love the series to enjoy the game. And who knows? You might even hear the big man himself say, "You're hired!" Hey, you can dream."

Pros: The action moves at a good clip; great visuals; smooth controls.

Cons: Doesn't make full use of the license; must repeat several levels if you're fired.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Overall, what you get with Big City Adventure: San Francisco is a top-notch package with great family appeal. It's not a truly innovative game, but it's a highly refined one that takes the best of its genre and tops it off with an extra spit shine. It's a treat for the eyes, ears and mind."

Pros: Beautiful graphics and animated effects, great music and environmental sounds, varied locations, good replay value.

Cons: Restrictive (can only play levels in sequence), no postcard gallery.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Nanny Mania - A time management game where you take care of a house full of kids.

No coupon required. Offer ends at midnight PST.

I will update this post every day for the new game each day.

Gamezebo review:

"Nanny Mania is a great concept but could have benefited from being fleshed out a little bit more. As it stands, the game gets repetitive quickly. Once the first child reaches her pre-teen years, all of the different chores have been introduced into the game and there's nothing new to look forward to except grinding through the rest of the levels as all the kids grow up."

Pros: Nice graphics and animations. Cool Sims-like top-down perspective of the house. Potential for expansion packs and add-ons.

Cons: Becomes repetitive quickly. Not enough variety. Second and third characters do not add much.

Rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars

"You can indeed get your hands dirty with Arcade Lab's Alice Greenfingers, a new strategy/simulation hybrid that will have you tending to a farm and selling your goods so you can afford better equipment, new kinds of seeds and other aids to help nourish the soil."

Pros: Unique and challenging game-play. Many items to buy from the store. Mac version also available.

Cons: Graphics are subpar. Only one game mode.
