This being a hardcore game and not a casual game, there is no review on Gamezebo. Gametunnel, however, did review it since they specialize in independent games like The Dark Legions. Here's their conclusion:

"If you love real-time strategy games of the medieval flavor then you're not going to go wrong with at least trying out The Dark Legions. The action is fast-paced, and the campaign mode gives you something with a bit more meat. Unfortunately, if you are a die hard RTS fan, then there's nothing really new to be offered that hasn't been done by other RTS titles within the past decade."

Gamezebo review:

"Ah, mini-games! They're a major part of Escape from Paradise. Revealed as you complete challenges, and considered challenges themselves, they include Tribal Checkers, Rock Toss (Marbles), Word Jumble, Firewalk (Simon), Chinese Checkers, Towers of Hanoi, Shuffleboard and Tribuku (Sudoku). A few are even based on popular casual games such as Shipwrecked (Bejeweled) and Furious Feast (Diner Dash). In all, 17 mini-games are built-in.

In the end, Escape from Paradise is an entertaining diversion. With 30 challenges to engage in and 17 mini-games to tackle, it offers an enjoyable getaway to a relaxing tropical oasis."

Pros: Enjoyable mix of mini-games, unique blend of genres, good graphics and audio.

Cons: No game speed adjustment, somewhat derivative.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Dig into Burger Island, the coolest electronic exercise in slinging food to unruly patrons we've spied in several weeks. Despite the frantic pace at which the game unfolds, and the inevitable onset of repetition, it's a surprisingly polished and gratifying experience that's sure to satisfy any craving for spastic, arcade-style fun."

Pros: Fun challenging game-play; Production values; Soundtrack; Sense of humor

Cons: Pacing will not please those who like their games relaxing; Challenge level.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Secrets of Great Art is a lot like a movie sequel: it's a formulaic yet somewhat entertaining getaway but by no means is it a groundbreaking experience."

Pros: Real artwork adds nice twist. Bonus levels break up game-play. Players unlock more of the story.

Cons: Does not really add anything new to genre. Some tasks are unfair. Only one game mode. Graphics are only so-so.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

I will update this post every day for the new game each day.

Gamezebo review:

"At the end of the day (or, in this case, days), G.H.O.S.T. Hunters is an enjoyable diversion. Music and sound effects, like thunder, footsteps, whispers and creaking hinges, are appropriately atmospheric. Visuals share company with the best in the genre, though, are a smidgen less pristine than characteristic of the Mystery Case Files series. And, the game offers a modest degree of replay value thanks to alternating culprits and random object lists (though items are stationary, so by the second time through you'll know where most are hidden)."

Pros: Atmospheric music and sound effects, attractive visuals and modest replay value.

Cons: Weak story elements, limited variety, one mode of play and fixed item locations.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

Of course, Gamezebo hasn't reviewed this 8 year old, hardcore game. Gamespot did back in the day:

"There's a lot of micromanagement to Capitalism II, but, like with good "Tycoon" games, that effort earns you addictive hours at the helm of a successful enterprise and vast virtual fortunes. The game has a steep learning curve, but there are real-world lessons to take away from it. The original Capitalism game saw some success among educators for its realistic yet manageable simulation of traditional corporations. If you have a basic idea about what makes businesses work, a thirst for competition, and some patience to learn the ropes, Capitalism II has a lot to offer."

Sally's Salon - A very good time management game similar to Diner Dash.

I will update this post every day for the new game each day.

Gamezebo review:

"The game isn't overly difficult, but offers a steady challenge with pacing that increases on a steady but manageable curve. If anything, it's perhaps a little too easy to earn Expert rankings and rake in the cash. I managed to purchase all the upgrades to my shop at about the half way point in the game, which unfortunately meant that I could no longer look forward to shopping in between levels. If the salon atmosphere appeals to you, and you're looking for a management sim that's challenging but not overly hectic, then Sally's Salon is definitely worth a look."

Pros: Unique customer feedback system for choosing styles. Fun styling options individualized to each type of customer. Manageable difficulty.

Cons: Less interesting once all shop upgrades have been purchased. Could use stronger visual cues when a customer is getting upset.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Then again, flush with eye-catching graphics, killer tunes and a proven gameplay formula, perhaps the desktop amusement is just what your inner James Bond ordered. Download the demo today and see for yourself: A capable outing in its own right, The Trail of Dr. Chaos inevitably leads to an afternoon or two of solid fun, but whether or not it'll prove worth your hard-earned dollars is going to be largely subjective, based primarily on the featured theme and associated window dressing."

Pros: Great theme. Killer graphics. Slick sound effects. Mid-mission mini-games.

Cons: Sometimes tricky to select objects. Open-ended clues. No singular standout or innovative feature.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Nonetheless, prepare yourself for a bruising, even on easy levels, and a real ego-crushing experience at higher challenge settings. Thankfully, you can set to some degree the severity of the trials you'll face, but even seasoned joystick jabbers will attest how much skill winning takes. Hence you can imagine our surprise when we finally did manage to juice up on bonuses, and turned into a lean, mean, rocket- and homing laser-spitting machine that could literally level bosses in 20 seconds flat. Ah, schizophrenia.

"Fun, frantic, but also slightly unpolished, there's not much more to say. A hardcore outing dressed in casual game industry trappings, Star Defender 4 offers more of what you already know and love from the shoot-'em-up genre - or don't."

Pros: Slick range of bonuses. Good variety of enemies. Simple to approach. Over 100 levels to jam on.

Cons: Game balancing issues. Difficulty level. Theme may alienate mainstream players.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"The freedom to customize your salon the way you want it and to juggle upgrades and purchases across multiple stores (instead of a purely linear level progression) is probably Paradise Pet Salon's greatest strength, and will prove a rewarding challenge for those who, for example, enjoy playing Monopoly. But Paradise Pet Salon could also have benefited from more polish and better exploitation of its cute pet subjects."

Pros: Freedom to customize salon. Unique money management features.

Cons: Some services take too long. Don't see the pets getting treatments. Can get repetitive.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Cake Mania 2 - A popular time management game similar to Diner Dash.

Gamezebo review:

"I don't mean to come down hard on Cake Mania 2 because it can be fun and gratifying to successfully finish a hard day. But perhaps I was expecting more from the talented folks at Sandlot Games who are trying to deliver a sequel that measures up to its predecessor. Perhaps if there were unique game modes, a tighter integration of story and location, and less frustrating and annoying moments, I'd give this game a better score. But as it stands, it's a good - but not great - follow-up to last year's tasty treat."

Pros: Fun and frantic game-play. Many cake types, toppings and icings. Multiple environments and customers.

Cons: Not too different than first game. Some frustrating and annoying elements. Customers and environments are not related.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

Plant Tycoon - A strategy business sim that runs in real time, even when you aren't playing. By the developers of Fish Tycoon.

No coupon required. Offer ends at midnight PST.

I will update this post every day for the new game each day.

Gamezebo review:

"Similar to Fish Tycoon, Plant Tycoon plays out in real-time, therefore time continues to march on whether the game is played or not. Most people will enjoy this feature - and it contributes to the game's addictiveness - but some might not like opening up the game after a long weekend away from the computer only to find that their precious plants are dead or dying (or infested with bugs). Actually, it would be remiss not to mention you can actually adjust the game speed from the Options screen - or turn off the clock altogether, if you like - which is a smart feature for the developers to include.

"Overall, Plant Tycoon might not get the same kind of attention as a 3-in-a-row, hidden object or waitressing sim will get, but it's definitely one of the deeper and more gratifying casual games to surface in a while. Two (green) thumbs up!"

Pros: Unique game-play concept. Deep and fulfilling. Plays out in real-time.

Cons: Can be confusing what to do next. Some gamers might not like real-time play. So-so visuals.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Entertaining and accessible, Jane's Hotel is certainly an accomplished and entertaining game, but it's hard to ignore the lack of gameplay variety and shoddy text. However, it will provide you with a good few hours of fun and as an alternative to culinary management games, it's certainly worth checking in to, if for nothing more than a fun filled afternoon."

Pros: Frenetic yet manageable and fun. Excellent control interface. Difficulty level builds up nicely.

Cons: Somewhat repetitive due to lack of gameplay modes. Very shoddy writing. Customers lack variety and character.

"Supercow is a pleasant diversion for all ages. It sports eye-catching graphics, depth-defying parallax scrolling, cute animations, an atmospheric soundtrack and audio effects, excellent cut-scene voiceovers, and a solid dose of good-natured humor."

Cons: One difficulty level. No special attack moves. Lacks instructions.

Gamezebo review:

"If you're a fan of hidden-object romps, place The Scruffs on your short list. It's family friendly, fun to play and highly entertaining. Hopefully, it will follow in the footsteps of Mystery Case Files and Travelogue 360 and kick off a fresh series."

Pros: Excellent animations. Exceptional music. Voice-overs and sound effects. Fair replay value. Highly entertaining.

Cons: Object locations are fixed. Jigsaw puzzles lack challenge.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"To call The Great Tree an anomaly would be an understatement. Combining New Age mysticism with arcade-style, mouse-thrashing mayhem, it's a formula that, by all rights, shouldn't work. However, created under the loving auspices of Reflexive Entertainment (Big Kahuna Reef, Ricochet Infinity) and featuring stunning visuals by the same artist as Wik: Fable of Souls, the game's sure to leave you enchanted nonetheless. One of the more inspired casual computerized jaunts in recent memory, make no bones about it: The Great Tree wholeheartedly deserves to take root on your desktop."

Pros: Cinematic presentation. Mouse-waggling action. Fantasy visuals. Quality of scriptwriting. Character upgrade system. Moody soundtrack.

Cons: Unconvincing voice-overs. Small range of enemies. Needs more backdrop variation. So-so sound effects. Recycles stage environments.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Hidden Relics should satisfy players who are patient and have an eye for details. And experienced players will thrive on the difficulty in finding secret objects, adding new gadgets to their adventurer's toolbox, and earning straight A's on their end-of-chapter report card. Though sometimes exasperating, it's worth playing for the sheer joy of finally finding one of the elusive secret objects."

Pros: Unlockable gadgets. Well-integrated and strong story. Variety of mini-games.

Cons: Certain gadgets hard on the eyes. Typos. Weak locale representation in graphics. Objects reappear too often.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"A fun-filled way to begin the holiday season, Christmasville features attractive visuals and snappy music. It provides an enjoyable mix of hidden object puzzle types and more mini-game varieties then much of the competition. The story and characters are a bit on the silly side, but it flows well. And, with 20 stages of play and multiple levels per stage (around 80 levels in total), there is a fair bit of play in store - about three hours sans the dialogue."

Pros: Attractive presentation. Pleasant mix of puzzle types and mini-games. Holiday themed.

Cons: Excessive dialogue. Too-easy puzzles with no difficulty adjustment.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Cradle Of Persia - A match 3 game where you must gather resources to build your city. Sequel to Cradle Of Rome.

I will update this post every day for the new game each day.

Gamezebo review:

"In short, there's plenty to love between such staggeringly deep, mind-bending action; a snappy soundtrack that remixes traditional Arabic tunes with fast-paced beats; and universally-attractive depictions of palm trees and minarets. The only downside is that the game can take quite some time to play through (not everyone will have the patience for it) and is tailored to more marathon sessions than bite-sized sittings. Then again, for all the title simply takes a proven concept and applies it to a different setting, and won't captivate twitch-happy enthusiasts, we're far from disappointed. Suffice it to say that Cradle of Persia will leave more dedicated players hooked for one thousand and one nights, and possibly then some."

Pros: Multi-layered gameplay. City-building portions. Upgradeable power-ups. Toe-tapping soundtrack. Exotic visuals. Plentiful resources and bonuses to juggle.

Cons: Slow-paced. Lengthy. Limited interactivity with constructed settlements.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Part arcade game part management simulation, Farm Frenzy combines elements from games like Alice Greenfingers and Cake Mania to create a fast-paced and entertaining foray into farm administration. It lets you slip into a pair of coveralls and play "Old MacDonald" with a bit of a business twist. The result is some egg-ceptional down-on-the-farm goodness."

Pros: Great family-friendly game. Cute graphics. Easy to learn and play.

Cons: Lack of adequate instructions. Too frantic action at times.

Gamezebo review:

"Blood Ties is a run of the mill hidden object game that veterans of the genre will be able to finish in a couple of hours. However, people who prefer their hidden object games without mini-games or other diversions might appreciate the fact that Blood Ties offers a "pure" and uninterrupted seek-and-find experience."

Pros: Pure seek-and-find for people who don't like mini-games in hidden object games.

Cons: Names can refer to more than one item. Short length. Generic and dated scenery. Shallow story.

This game is downright ancient. It has been around for many, many years. They say it runs on Vista, however. When it came out it got great reviews in the magazines. I remember playing it and enjoyed it. I just don't know how it would be more than a decade later...
