Gamezebo review:

"Airport Mania: First Flight is to be commended its fresh approach to the time management genre. Juggling a bunch of aircraft instead of a single waitress, hairstylist or babysitter is an innovation that is both fun and frenetic and works very well - at least when it's in such capable hands."

Pros: Cool upgrades. Innovative setting and concept. Fast-paced click management gameplay. Solid game mechanics.

Cons: Hard to differentiate between certain aircraft types. Graphics functional but a bit bland.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"It doesn't take much to become wrapped in mucking around for hidden objects in the lush world of Austrailia. Big City Adventure: Sydney successfully retains the charm of San Francisco leaving you wondering what the next destination will be."

Pros: Animated and beautiful scenes. Charming music. Right amount of challenge. Diversity of hidden objects.

Cons: Inability to quickly click multiple found items. Must play in sequence. Characters could use a makeover.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Fashion Solitaire - Turns card solitaire into fashion designing with a fashion show after each stage.

No coupon required. Offer ends at midnight PST.

I will update this post every day for the new game each day.

Gamezebo review:

"Fashion Solitaire is definitely more "fashion" than "solitaire." It's a refreshing spin on the classic card game, and a welcome addition to the fashion-themed craze. Players have a lot more opportunity to be creative and focus on unique fashions, with more chance for unique designs than they do in JoJo's Fashion Show. It's a cut above the vast selection of time management fashion games available, which are great if you enjoy the genre, but have very little to do with actual design.

"With 500+ garment creations possible, 48 different rounds, and 8 unique stages, Fashion Solitaire takes several hours to beat. If you enjoy making clothing combinations, the replay value is high. Anyone with a penchant for style, and who's skin crawls at the thought of mixing mauve and mustard yellow, should check it out."

Pros: Allows users to make customized creations. Unique spin on solitaire. Addictive. Good replay value.

Cons: Solitaire component takes a while to get challenging.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

This is not a casual game by any means, so there is no review on Gamezebo. Game Tunnel did review it however, and they loved it:

"This title provides quite a bit of value by far. Lots of action, high explosives, boss battles, weapon upgrades, and an engaging soundtrack; it's got it all. Turn off the lights, get on the headphones and crank up the volume; this one's gonna be an all out barn burner!"

Escape The Museum - Ahit hidden object game.

Escape The Museum

No coupon required. Offer ends at midnight PST.

I will update this post every day for the new game each day.

Gamezebo review:

"Generally, Escape the Museum is an "object" lesson in how to create a quality object-hunting diversion. Graphics are attractive, especially the cut scene art, with spot animations that add life to an otherwise static world. Music and sound effects do a great job of adding tension and urgency to the atmosphere, as does the occasional shaking and crumbling of the museum interior. Adventure game elements incorporated with the escape puzzles add significantly to gameplay, as does the return to previous scenes for additional puzzle solving. Plus, this addictive seek-and-find puzzler combines a solid dose of enjoyment with an extensive experience double the length of most contemporaries."

Pros: Solid production values. Engaging storyline. Great mix of object-based puzzles and seek-and-find locales.

Cons: Some objects are non-distinct and/or too well hidden. Vague item descriptions.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"If you're looking for a cooking game for your PC that is much less difficult than Hot Dish and more exciting than Family Restaurant, Cooking Academy is a good bet. All together, expect between 4-5 hours of solid game play, with decent replay value if you want better grades on your recipes. Who knows - you might even pick up a few ideas for dinner. "

Pros: Good pacing. Large variety of food mini-games. Fun and detailed recipes.

Cons: Game mechanics are very similar to Cooking Mama. Some tasks are not clearly presented. Easy to beat.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"With two adventures (finding parents and going on quests) in one, Magic Farm brings a rare combination of features to the casual game genre. Overlooking the little imperfections comes easy because the game engrosses players and compels them to find out what's next in their quests."

Pros: Variety. Adorable dragon help mate. Fine graphics. Advancing skills.

Cons: Slow start. Some cumbersome tasks. Some long waiting times for things to happen.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars User rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Once you've completed the 80 levels of Burger Shop's story mode, there's still a whole lot of game left. You can go back and try to get a Perfect score in every level, or try the next 80 levels of Expert Story Mode. Or you could switch to Challenge Mode and see how much money you can earn per level, or try Relax Mode, where the customers never leave so you can serve them at your leisure. All-in-all there are 96 trophies to add to your virtual case across all the modes.Burger Shop isn't the first burger-themed game to come out, and it likely won't be the last, but it's a game that's definitely worth sinking your teeth into."

Pros: Funny. More than 60 shop upgrades and 80 levels. High replayability. Good pacing and challenge. Excellent production values.

Cons: Some of the burgers are too similar looking.

Gamezebo review:

"Westward II: Heroes of the Frontier is another entertaining, challenging resource management game set in the far-too-infrequently-chosen western milieu. Most folks will be obliged for the opportunity to be a hero in this upbeat version of the Old West."

Pros: Strong production values. Interesting side-quests. Great western theme with humorous touches. Highly addictive. Sandbox mode.

Cons: Some vagueness in tasks. HUD reduces view of game world. Some loss of visual charm from predecessor.

Gamezebo review:

"Casual gamer, come on down! You're the next contestant on The Price is Right. Yep, one of the most popular television game shows has gone interactive with Ludia's first computer game offering, The Price is Right, that looks and plays like the real deal - though without Drew Carey or Bob Barker. "

Pros: Excellent game show simulator. Refreshingly different than other casual games. 16 pricing games. Solo and multiplayer modes. Attractive graphics. Authentic music, sound effects, announcer and video. Neat "Rank Me In" feature.

Cons: Can't always skip past other contestant's play. Load times a tad long. Values in American currency may trip up foreign players.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Overall, I found Natalie Brooks - Secret of Treasure House to be a very enjoyable game that artfully blended many popular genres with a great story. Although I would consider the game almost too easy for more serious players, the length and storyline made up for that. If you can't stand hidden object puzzles and have no patience for logic puzzles, this is not the game for you. However, if you're looking for a game that will last more than an hour and grab your attention with an intriguing story, then I definitely recommend downloading the demo."

Pros: Great blending of genres. Engaging storyline. Long duration of gameplay.

Cons: Rather easy. Numerous spelling and grammar mistakes.

Gamezebo review:

"Build in Time is a fun, fast paced, exciting time management game with lots of new twists and plenty of flexibility for players of different skill levels. The time period immersion adds an interesting twist to the story and game play, and there's a ton of upgrades and optional challenges that change the dynamics and enhance the replay value. All in all, it's an entertaining time trip. "

Pros: Addictive. Lots of optional challenges. Great replay value. Game atmosphere changes each decade.

Cons: Easy to confuse house requests. Difficult to unlock all the expert goals.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

There is no Gamezebo review...no surprise for a gory game like this...
Game Tunnel reviewed it, however...

"Do you like to disengage your brain sometimes and just let loose with over the top weapons? Slaughtering untold hordes before bedtime? You're insane! Quick, call the police! Oh, sorry, you meant in a game, oh, ok. Just buy it then, it does exactly what it says on the tin. Aim, fire, smirk and repeat."

Rating: Buy It

Gamezebo review:

"I admit, I was worried that a sequel to Build-a-lot could not recapture the ambience of the original game, which I truly love. However, developer HipSoft managed to keep all that was good about the first game and add some fantastic new features that only increase the overall enjoyment. Build-a-lot 2: Town of the Year really delivers the goods. (Or is that materials? Ha! A little Build-a-lot humor there...)"

Pros: Innovates and improves upon the original. Long duration and replay value. Gameplay is fresh to the end. Perfect balance of challenge and fun.

Cons: Graphics largely unchanged from the first game.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Virtual Villagers: The Secret City is addictive. If ant colonies enthralled you as a kid, you’ll enjoy this diversion even more. In short order, you’ll become attached to your villagers, relishing their achievements, being frustrated at their failures and grieving their death. Isola’s world is a charming one, visually and audibly splendid. Replay value is high, thanks to variables like factions and events. You can even run several games simultaneously (though, one of your tribes is bound to suffer neglect)."

Pros: Highly addictive play. Persistent game world. “Attachment” factor to villagers. Great replay value. Continued refinement.

Cons: Zoom and grouping capabilities still missing. Several puzzles and solutions obscure. “Extra Fast” game speed needed.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Overall, Hell’s Kitchen is challenging and a lot of fun. Hearing Gordon Ramsay’s voice cheering you on when you succeed (“I like that. I really like that!” and “Finally I’ve tasted something delicious!”) is great for any fan of the show. If you’ve never experienced Chef Ramsay’s personality through his television shows, the game might seem a bit harsh to some, but it’s all in good fun."

Pros: Gordon Ramsay. Good graphics. Gordon Ramsay. Smoothly combines cooking and restaurant management gameplay. Gordon Ramsay. Printable recipes. Gordon Ramsay...

Cons: Gets repetitive after a while. Limited variety in the voice-overs.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"When it comes to time management games, farming is quickly becoming as popular as food and fashion. But as saturated as the farm theme is becoming, Ranch Rush proves that there's always room for one more – provided the game is as good as this one is."

Pros: Completely customizable farm. Superb pacing, balance and challenge. Maintains interest to the end. Great production values. Unique genre twists.

Cons: Scrolling coupled with reliance on sound cues. Queuing and canceling moves is a bit awkward.

Gamezebo review:

"Frankly, from start to finish, it’s hard to discount the tremendous level of playtesting and polish that’s gone into the adventure. As such, Ancient Quest of Saqqarah doesn’t just stand up there with the medium’s best desktop time killers – in many ways, it’ll also change the way you look at them going forward. Whereas most mainstream-friendly amusements attempt to do one thing well, this landmark game instead delivers multiple thrills in a single, attention-grabbing package. Download today and see for yourself: It’s the type of title you’ll easily be playing weeks hence, and, at least for the next several months, using as a benchmark against which to score all future competition."

Pros: Multiple gameplay variations. Cinematic presentation. Expert blend of balance, challenge and execution. Hundreds of levels. Tons of extras and upgrades.

Cons: Curving pathways sometimes make spotting matches tricky. Some animations can't be skipped.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Ancient Quest of Saqqarah is excellent. It has top-notch production values, varied gameplay, 500+ levels, and stays fun and fresh all the way through.

Gamezebo review:

"As a city slicker who grew up thinking milk comes from a store, I wasn’t sure if I’d “get” playing Alawar’s Farm Frenzy 2, a game all about farm management and profit. Much to my surprise, however, the game’s challenging levels and cute graphics were eggs-actly what I needed on lengthy plane rides this past weekend."

Pros: Challenging business simulation. Can buy many upgrades for farm. Impressive graphics and animation. Two game modes. Can win awards.

Cons: No hint system for a difficult game. Some building and vehicle inconsistencies. Not too different than first game. Song gets very repetitive.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Given that Cake Mania 2 was a good, but not stellar, follow-up to the original Cake Mania, Sandlot Games had something to prove with Cake Mania 3. The result, happily, is a sequel that has enough new features to justify a purchase even for fans that have already played through the first two."

Pros: New power-ups, locations and customers. Strategy changes based on customer behaviors. Fun cake-decorating mini-game. Trophies. Can rearrange machinery in the kitchen. More cohesive story.

Cons: Sugar Rush unintuitive to activate. Ho-hum conveyor belt mini-games. Juggling cakes can still be awkward. Starts off slowly.

Gamezebo review:

"Even if you're getting a little tired of hidden object games, do yourself a favor and give Magic Encyclopedia: First Story a spin. With the wonderful graphics and story, music and mini-games, and adveture game-like puzzles strewn throughout, you'll certainly agree that this - er, finally finished - game pushes the genre forward in exciting new directions."

Pros: Interesting take on hidden-object games. Adventure game-like puzzles add to the fun. Many mini-games to play. Intriguing story. Hand-drawn backgrounds. Great music.

Cons: Those who downloaded the game when it first launched suffered through many technical bugs.

Gamezebo review:

"If you’re used to frenetic mousemashers where you have to replay rounds several times just to get through, Alice Greenfingers 2 may seem very, well, “peculiar,” at first. In our modern society most of us have to literally learn how to relax. Try the demo for a change of pace, and see if you, too, find the charm of this unique untimed game growing right alongside the tomatoes."

Pros: Unique untimed format. Excellent upgrade variety. Ability to save mid-round,. Endless replayability.

Cons: Retro graphics lack detail. Annoying secondary character.

My Tribe - A real-time strategy game that is very similar to Virtual Villagers.

I will update this post every day for the new game each day.

Gamezebo review:

"OK, so here’s the deal: If you’ve read any of the forums you’ll see both sides of the argument – whether Grubby Games “ripped off” LDW’s Virtual Villagers with My Tribe or were they merely influenced by it and created an island sim in the same vein? Gamezebo will also let its readers become judge and jury while debating back and forth, but there’s little argument it’s virtually the same game (real-time play, tech trees, breeding, collecting, tribespersons instead of villagers) but with a few extras, mentioned above. We really liked My Tribe, yes, but if you’ve played Virtual Villagers then there’s not much more here for you – download and play to see for yourself."

Pros: Engaging game-play. Many different islands to explore. Intuitive interface. Lots of variety and challenges. Game plays out even when not playing it. Unlock trophies.

Cons: Very, very similar to Virtual Villagers. Not everyone likes games that continue when you’re not there.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

Just a reminder that this thread will be ending in a few days, as Reflexive is shutting down their store at the end of the month. They will allow people who have purchased games from them to download their purchases through the end of July. Reflexive will still be around, but only as a developer. Maybe we will finally get new versions of Ricochet and Big Kahuna Reef....

There will still be $3 daily sales on the Big Fish thread, however...
