(refurb)360 power block $19.99 @microcenter B&m and online

how do you know if the brick is compatible with your x-box? Seriously there are like 3 different bricks out there right?
 
I have my launch console power brick sitting in the bedroom collecting dust... along with the broken console. Been meaning to sell them for parts since i couldn't fix the console myself. Powerbrick is good though, didn't know there was a market for it.

Good point. I suppose you could email them and check but that kinda defeats the purpose. Though I'm not sure why one would need a power brick to begin with, unless they have a broken one or a stolen Xbox 360.
 
FYI there are a coue sellers on eBay that keep posting sets of the power adapter,HD cables,headset, and network cable with auctions ending every few min averaging 18-22$ or so. I won one at 16.50 late on a Sunday, so I could bring my xbox upstairs when I wanted to play and sit with the wife.

So you can leave the brink at another location and just carry the xbox itself.

Or maybe you bought a barebone xbox off ebay/craigslist and need another power supply.

Or hell you just lost one.
