When I sent my system in with the RRoD, I got a refurb back that was louder, hotter (the air coming out the back of the system, anyway), and takes 5-10 seconds from pressing the power button until the system actually begins to boot. Be wary of a refurb.

Does anyone else find this statement hilarious? "It already broke once, so it MUST be more reliable now!". It's like saying a 10 year old car that just had its engine replaced will be more reliable than a brand new car.

Refurbished crap is just that. Crap. Guaranteed to break again 100%, I would know I worked at GameStop for years and saw that crap get sent back and forth and back and forth. UNFIXABLE RING! Buy a new one cheapie. Plus the new models have a much lower risk rate of obtaining that so well known RRoD.
