I finally found this thread, which explained all of the GREAT (IN CAPS) avatars WhipSmartBanky has been creating. I'm thinking, "cool, maybe WSB will explain all," and all I find is a bunch of whining, bitching, moaning, and fighting.

Pfizer? SVA? Who SHAQ-FUING cares!?!?! Anyone can get work at any prestiguous company, especially when you freelance/consult/contract. Hell, I have done work for AT&T, Disney, and Mayo shaq-fuing Clinic but that doesn't mean I am better than anyone else, or that I am going to say anyone sucks more than me. Strike that thought... anyone who says WSB's avatars suck DOES SUCK way more than me.

To WhipSmartBanky -- keep up the good work. You are making this board a better place, and it is needed now more than ever if we really have this many Trolls around here.

To the Trolls -- grow the shaq-fu up. If I had Admin privledges on this board, I would lock this thread and throw away the key, and then I would change all of your avatars to crying babies as punishment for being a pain in everyone's posterior.

Back in 1991, when the dinosaurs roamed, and when I graduated from "my" prestigious design school -- the one that writes the text books SVA and most other design schools use -- I worked for a service bureau for about 6 months before I landed my first big studio job.

An older designer who I knew and respected, had a freelance gig designing the boxes and instructions for products from A. H. Robbins Phamaceuticals. My fave was his set of instructions for an enema... complete with fine-line illustrations showing how to use it. LMAO!!

We kept a copy of it on the wall to remind us that even if u have a big client, it does not mean u do big work.

i would just like to say i like the ones you have done so far and i get a kick out of seeing them. Good job. I also feel sorry for how much time you have put into it.
 
English is as deeply rooted in latin as in the germanic. And it's derived not really from latin, but from the 'romantic' tounges (i.e., french, spanish, italian) And it's not a rip-off of anything, it's an amalgamation.
 
Banky - no offense to you (your avatars look great!!), but i'm surprised so many people want them.

Nothing against them; they do look cool, but whatever happened to a person wanting a unique avatar? When Banky's was the only one, it was unique and cool. When he did some for some other regular CAGs, that was cool too. But shit, do we all want to look the same?!?!

I really enjoy coming on here and checking out all the unique avatars; they range from boring to cool, and from unique to stupid, and from funny to completely unfunny. That's part of the fun of having avatars in the first place.

Summary:
Banky: cool shit; you crack me up man!
BigNick, punqsux, etc: yours are cool too, because Banky did them just for fun, and cuz you're regulars.
Everyone Else: Get original!! Find/make something unique!!

^^not intended to provoke a flaming; I just look enjoy checking out people's avatars, and would hate to see them all look alike....
