Bump...

I received my Mario themed Pixelart today, thanks again for sending them so quickly. They're awesome I'll have to take pictures of them before I give them away for Easter:D
Damn, they got there faster than I thought. How's Peach look though, you can be honest, she looks like a Pink Blob doesn't she?

In lowball related news, a shitload of packages got sent out today. I'm in the process of updating the OP now with what got shipped, and DC numbers will be pm'd to those who requested them. I'm also getting out the last batch of invoices, and the next batch of shipments will be on Monday.
umm...

did you get my payment? paid sometime last night
Yep, sorry, I fell a little behind on getting pm's out. Yes I got your payment, and you're package will be going out with the next batch of shipments.

I think Peach looks fine  Up close she's blocky but if she's seen from a few feet away it looks just like the sprites of her from the older Nintendo games:cool:. I forgot to ask what is the random mystery pixelart that I won?

Well, I don't know yet, I still haven't made it.
So far, I've thought about doing the following:
A Patapon
A Blue Castle Crasher Knight
Duck Hunt Duck
Set of Two Tetris Pieces
Of course, I haven't put too much thought into it, I'll make your mystery pixel Saturday though, so if you have any particular requests, let me know.
No not Ridley or Kraid. :D

Also, I've received most of the payments from my lowball, just a few stragglers left who haven't paid yet. Next batch of shipments goes out on Monday, so get your payments in now!

Aww, no Ridley or Kraid for me:cry:. Actually I was thinking more along the lines of a question block or mushroom from the Super Mario game or how about one of the energy tanks from Metroid;)

My Pixelart collection is growing so I need to take a picture of them pretty soon. Let me know if one of my requests is possible if not then I'll take the Tetris pieces:cool:

I received my games today but the postal gods were not on my side. They decided to put a hole through the back of Chaos Wars. It was packed well and Cubivore is in great shape, so this in no way is Deadbodyman11's fault, but if anyone happens to have an extra cover art for Chaos Wars pm me :)

Kraid would look too colorless, and the only reason I can't do Ridley is because I don't have a very good selection of purple and never really needed them for anything else.
Both the mushroom and Question Mark block would be do-able, but I'd rather do a mushroom. Would you rather have a Red Mushroom, or a 1-Up Mushroom?

That sucks man, sorry to hear that. I'll be sure to look out for a replacement cover for you.
Received my item today. I left feedback. Thanks, dbm.
Cool, feedback left for everyone who has left feedback, also just a little note, once feedback has been left I am removing your name from the OP, along with your lowball info. Just to get rid of some of the clutter.
Also YAY I have over 100 feedback!!

I figured that Ridley or Kraid would be too big, The SNES versions are 2 to 3 times as big as Samus:lol: I think a red mushroom would probably look better and thanks again for shipping so fast. My nieces couldn't decide which one they wanted but they were very happy with their Pixelart:D.

I've done big sprites before, so thats not really the issue, although Samus would look rather small next to a 16 inch tall Ridley.
I'll get your Red Mushroom made tonight and throw it in along with your stuff to be shipped out tomorrow, you wanted them all magnets right? I should also be able to make it over to my local video game store and pick up your copy of MGS2. Let me know if there was anything else you were looking for and I can check for it.
Glad to hear that they liked the pixels, although I still think peach looked like shit.....

Really, what do you do with the big sprites? The mushroom doesn't need to be a magnet I'm giving that one as a gift as well ;) So far I'm keeping the Metroid themed pixelart and giving the others to my nieces and nephews:cool:

Awesome, Thanks for getting MGS II for me :D. I'm not looking for anything in particular right now, I have too many unplayed games as it is and game prices seem to be dropping. I think I will wait for some of the newer games that I want to come down in price before I buy any more since my backlog has recently increased.

For sprites that are too big, I can try and shrink them down. It sometimes works out well, but its pretty hit and miss. If you want an idea of what a Ridley sprite would look like, you can google image search "Ridley Bead Sprite" and you should see some that other people have made which I can steal copy if I have the right colors. I can also make small sprites bigger, like I did with my Jumbo Cactuar.

Also, I'm at work right now, but I should be able to get home and pack up all of the lowball packages and get them sent out today. I'll post DC# for those who requested them once I get done shipping everything out.
Hey, I left some AWESOME feedback for you.
And I left some totally original Feedback for you. Its totally NOT the same feedback that I left for everyone else who bought stuff in my lowball sale.

I wondered what people did with huge sprites so I followed your suggestion and Googled metroid bead sprites and look what I found:

Now that's a huge Pixelart
That is some kick ass pixel work. Makes me want to try doing pixel art so I can be cool like Deadbodyman11 and whoever did that crazy Metroid piece.
That would be a guy by the name of Doctor Octoroc. You can see his flickr page here that has most of the pixels he's done. He is pretty much the best when it comes to making video game bead sprites, and everything he does is so much better than my stuff that it puts me to shame.

The most impressive single bead sprite that I have ever seen before was a screen shot from Castlevania 3, its here for anyone interested. Definently better than anything that I can make, although I did just start playing Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 again, which motivated me to create a Gold Slime. Looks pretty cool, pics up soon for anybody who wants to see it.

That Castlevania Pixelart is awesome, I can't tell how big it is though he needed to include something for scale. That Doc Octoroc is either really talented or he has too much time on his hands:lol:.

Don't be too harsh on yourself, I'm sure that people like Doctor Octoroc must put hundreds of hours into honing their skills. So far all the Pixelart that I've bought from you has been great, I'm sure that with enough time you could make Pixelart just like his. I PM'd you back about those GBA games, let me know if you want me to get them for you.

Thanks for the kind words of encouragement. It's less a matter of skill, and more a matter of not having enough time to make those massive sprites, or enough money to buy the beads for them. I'm pretty happy with most of the pixels that I make, although I would like to be able to get the colors right on a Chrono from Chrono Trigger. Thats one of the few sprites that I can never make because I can never find the right colors.

As with all artwork the quality usually depends on how much time you have to devote to the project. I took several ceramics courses and my best work was accomplished in my last class where I was able to decide what projects I wanted to do and how much time I would devote to make it. Where do you buy the beads from, maybe they have more colors where I live?

Usually I buy them at Michaels or Hobby Lobby, and there are a few other craft stores around here that I buy from depending on what colors I need.
But I just recently found some one on ebay who sells beads for a little less than I normally spend, so I'll be buying from her from now on. Now I just need someone to buy around $40 worth of pixel arts so I have an excuse to order some more beads.
Received today, leaving feedback tonight
Cool, glad to see that packages from the second round of shipments are already arriving.

Well, I think I'm stocked up on Pixelart for now:lol:. I received everything in the mail today, thanks for the free stuff! I bought those two GBA games that we talked about, they were $2.99 each. I looked at your tradelist and noticed that you had The Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition that I'm interested in. How much are you asking for it?

I'm not really sure about the Zelda CE just yet, I still need to finish it, I just threw it up on my list because I figured no one would be interested. Feel free to make an offer on it, but I'm still not totally sure I'm willing to get rid of it. And thanks for picking those up for me, I could never find those damn games.

I left feedback. After seeing this Link pixel art I really wish I remembered to bid again for the DQ slimes. Godammnit all! #bumpforyou

I'm not in a hurry to get it so have fun;) What condition is the disc in and is the game complete with the cover art/ manual?

No problem, and thanks again for rushing those Pixelart for me. I don't see anything on your trade list right now so I'll ship them to you for cost plus shipping, I'm still going to be busy for the next few days but I can ship them to you on Tuesday.

You could just buy some you know, I usually sell them for less than they go for in the lowball sales anyway. :D
Oh, and in case you haven't noticed yet, Link's sword glows in the dark.

It's complete, and the disc is probably in very good condition, but I don't remember too well. I know it plays fine though.
I'll be adding more stuff to my list over the next few days, so I'm sure you'll find something to trade for. If not I can just paypal you the costs.
And take your time with shipping out the games, I'm in no rush to get them. Thanks again for picking them up.

Awesome, I'm glad to hear that you still have stuff for your trade list after that last lowball sale. I've been looking all over for the Collector's Edition of Zelda since it came out. I'll ask you about it again later, maybe you'll get tired of playing it in a year or so:lol:.

This weekend has been pretty busy since I'm trying to both clean house and play Modern Warfare 2 as much as possible before the free trial runs out. I'll see what you add to your trade list and let you know by next weekend what I want. While cleaning out my old game and PC magazines I came across a Killer Instinct comic!

Let me know what you think of this video I thought it was funny but another CAG'er thought it was sad: http://www.booyapictures.com/2010/04/the-mouse-trap/

Well, I actually thought that I got rid of everything that I wanted to sell during my last lowball sale, but I had a sudden financial expense that came out of no where, so I had to go back through my stuff and pick out more things to sell. I'll pop in the LOZ:CE later on tonight or tomorrow. I've always heard that Ocarina of Time is one of the best games ever, but I've never actually played it before, so once I'm through trying out OOT then I'll probably be done with it. It shouldn't take too long.
Take your time with deciding on what you want, most of the crap isn't going anywhere anyways.
I honestly had no idea that they even had Killer Instinct comics, probably be a cool piece of memorabillia though. If you don't want it I would gladly take it off your hands. :D
And in case you need any particular issues of magazines, I have quite a few used bookstores around here that carry old magazines and they're usually only 50 cents. If you're looking for a particular issue of anything then I'd be happy to check around for you. Just figured I'd mention it since you were talking about old gaming mags.

Really, somebody thought it was sad? Did they not watch the end? I was waiting for the trap to go off, and I assumed it would be incredibly disgusting. That was much, much better than other videos/gifs I have seen of mice traps. I expected a massive explosion, or his head to rip off, something incredibly bad. Thanks to the internet, and 4chan, I just assume that everything on the internet is horrifying. But I guess thats just me. :D

Oh, and it's CAG, not CAGer. CAG stands for Cheap Ass Gamer, and CAG'er stands for Cheap Ass Gamer er. It's a pet peeve of mine so I had to mention it, sorry.

I think OOT has aged kinda poorly. At the time it was amazing but that was the era of early 3-D and most of those games don't hold up. I'd rather play Link to the Past than OOT.

Also check my list for Ar Tonelico 2 and Dark Cloud 2 :)

I tried OOT last night, you were quite right in saying that it aged poorly. I honestly thought the game sucked, although I only played for about 20 minutes. Definently not as good as I expected. I'll give it another try soon, but it's looking like my LOZ:CE will be in Oldschool's hands shortly. :D

I checked your list, I'm interested in your Monster Rancher for PS1, Prototype for 360, Final Fantasy 3 for the SNES, and I am a little interested in your beautiful Katamari. I was also interested in a few of your NES games, namely Final Fantasy and Shadowgate.

I know where you're coming from, I recently had an unforeseen expense too. I had a garage sale to raise some quick cash and I might need to have another one soon. I've played most of the Zelda games but it's been so long that I don't really remember Ocarina of Time.

The comic mentions that it was a Nintendo power exclusive so that must be why I have it, I started with issue#2 in the late 1980s and stopped sometime in 1996. I'm trying to free up some shelf space by getting rid of my old magazines not adding to my collection:roll:

The first thing I asked was whether they had finished watching it but apparently they are just a bit more squeamish than I am. I am a biologist and a hunter/fisherman so seeing a small animal in imminent danger of gruesome death hasn't affected me in a long time. I totally forgot that was the name of the site, I use a quick link on my toolbar that says www.cheapass.... After reading so many online posts by people using poor grammar I'm not as careful as I used to be so thanks for pointing it out.
