Reinstatement of signiture limit?

I agree that some folks have sigs that are WAY too large. But I'd hate to put someone on my ignore list over that, but yeah... I think some self control is needed around here on that.

Look at my sig for instance... its small yet still effective, tho I might be upgrading it to a slightly larger size in the future (5-10% bigger, which is still rather smallish but it would be nicer to look at lol).
 
VGMs sig is a pain is the ass because it's so wide it stretches out the screen and you have to scroll to the right in EVERY thread he posts in, which is a lot. ;)

Mines not that big but I actually think it's a little taller than what should be allowed......
 
Praystation's sig picture is as tall as my browser window, I PMed him but he ignored me.

He has had that giant sig for about a week now and it really pisses me me off.
 
I just finished my signature and think its quite reasonable for size. I don't see why you would need anymore room to express your self.
 
Who even turns sigs on? Almost everybody's sig, mine included, is retarded. I can't waste my time with stupid sigs or avatars anymore. Though, my Borat avatar knows how to represent.

I'm perfectly fine with the ways sigs are here on CAG because of all the massive annoying as hell sigs I see there
 
The first one is too much, but if you do something about the second one, then probably half of the sigs on this site would have to be taken care off too.

i'm sure mine is too big...but i've seen bigger without anyone bitching...then again, mine is coming down anyway...i just have to find another one that i'm happy with for a while
 
cant the mods just ban people with sigs that freakin huge? they have no common sense at all if they think that is an acceptable sig.

Mods aren't psychics. If you notice someone with a huge or innaporpriate sig, PM one of them and let them know so that they can take the appropriate action. I PM'd Trakan about it and he's taking care of it.

Not really, it started out as one poster wanting the previous rules for sigs reinstated and nothing came out of it. Now people just post links to posters who they think have huge sigs or inappropriate sigs and expect mods to be checking here every second. The point of my post is don't expect mods to do something just because you see it, let them know and they will do what they need to.

I don't expect them to be checking this thread all the time, though most of the problem sigs linked here eventually get fixed anyways. I guess I find it amusing to point out how ridiculous some sigs are... despite it not really solving the problem. I'll make sure to be productive and PM a mod next time.

I'm not trying to be mean or anything, I'm just saying when something needs taken care of more quickly, like the sig you pointed out, that PMing a mod might be the better thing to do. Many of the other posts here really aren't that bad, at least to me, so they don't need immediate attention at all. If Shrike's on, let him know, he likes to chew out those with big sigs and images. :lol:
