Remote Play Update - Play All Your PSX Games on PSP!

I didn't imply you were pirating isos - but as you say "the psp can already play isos." Well, that's true - but not "officially" true.

It may not be a big change for you personally, but you could look at it as Sony "listening" to the community by implementing a really cool feature, while protecting their assets at the same time.

It finally convinced me to go back to the official firmware bandwagon, that's for sure.

Now to figure out two things:
1) how to access this from my office, since an at home connection isn't all that ideal for genuine testing purposes.
2) how to convert a save file from a PSP iso game in order to play it on this remote play. I invested 16 hours into Xenogears, and I don't want that to go to waste.

so the game data would be saved to the PSP memory stick??


saying i go pop in shadow hearts play it for 5 hours and want to save. Where do i save to i can play it again or is there no save feature on any


If i knew i could play all my PS1 rpgs games on my PSP then i run out tomorrow and buy a ps3 for 500

hell my cousin is using her wii just for the classic downloads
 
Think of your PSP basically as a controller with a screen. When you save it still saves to the PS3. You are just getting your PSP to tell your PS3 to save.

Man my life would pretty much be perfect if I could just get my psp online via my office. Can't use router. only if I had a lan line spitter.

Tell me more about this "can't use a router" stuff.
 
Is there a trick to getting your ps1 game to save? I played ffvii and when i tried to save it did not allow it since there was no "memory card" in either of the "slots"

You can do this my pressing the PS Button (Selecting "Assign Slots") or go under the PS1/PS2 memory cards on the XMB and assign the slot.
 
I started FF:IX and I am impressed. I thought it looked really kiddy, compared to VII and VIII, but this one is fairly fun so far.

... you mean a switch? Are you looking to split the connection before your router or after it? If after, then you just need a simple switch (or even another router that has wireless capabilities) to split the line.

A switch has already been suggested, but a hub will work too. Hell a router is just a swith with extra abilities. Most routers can have those abilities turned off, so all you have is a switch.

Because your method is illegal. Simple as that.

I care more about right and wrong, than legal/illlegal. Right/wrong trancends borders, and does have alterior motives. For example AFAIK, only in the USA is it illegal to make a copy of something you own for your own personal use. I know in Canada it is not, nor is it in many European countries. Wrong would be stealing/pirating a game. Copying one I own for my personal use, IMHO is not 'wrong'.

Myke has already come up with a number of valid reasons why the PSX-disc-in-PS3 is ultimately a good idea. I just wanted to point out, that it is definitely not 'Simple as that.' So lets not discuss this further.
