Now this is interesting. If your UMD housing has broken, you can put your otherwise useless PSP game or movie disc in this replacement housing.

The video is hilarious, he really rips on the UMD format saying that "They are basically built to self-destruct". I tend to agree with him, I have seen quite a few used games at Gamestop that had loose or cracked UMD housings.

I am careful with my games but if you carry them around you may need a few of these.

He is also selling them on eBay for the same price if you don't want to order from his site.

The kind you find in a second-hand store? ;)

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Nice, trying to sell us things from your website! Repost anyway. At least offer a CAG discount if you are going to advertise here.
David, I already posted this for you.
My name's not David, this is Brad.

Oh, and thanks for letting me know. They can delete this one then.

Why do you people always have to think it's some ploy to just make money? Yeah, it's true that I am making some funds and it's my only source of income at the moment and it's costed us to make it. It's also to help people get their games fixed and working again. Everyone's tune will change once you see it in the stores. -shrug-

I owned a ton of PSP games and never did one case break on me. I guess this is more for little kids who don't know how to take care of there games. Good Luck selling these though.

EDIT:

"$3.99 per case and it keeps you from having to go out and purchase a new game, right?"

In your video you say the games are basically POS and they scratch easy as hell. If the case were to break, the chances on the game getting scratch or ruined is highly likely. So buying a case for a game that would no longer work would be wasting money. I'd rather have a brand new game then put a 3rd party case on my game. Your plastic cases make the games look fake or pirated.

But, there is accidental breaks and sometimes the cover cases for these that people buy can cause the UMD case to crack.

I do think there is a need for the housing, but I think it is definitely directed at the people who aren't as careful. There is a reason 90% of the disc based games you find at EB/Gamestop are completely scratched to hell. There is a reason most people's cars look like crap. A small minority of people actually take good care of their possessions.

The posts you see in this thread stating that there is a need for this solution, I am willing to bet are not that careful. Granted there may be a defective UMD here and there, but if your UMDs are consistently breaking, it is your fault. Of course that brings up the question of whether or not it is fair to expect the consumer to have to be so careful with his products.

Actually this is fantastic!!! I've got a bunch that broke while being stored in my carry case! It pissed me off to no end.

Fantastic! At first I thought 3.99 was a bit steap, but that inludes shipping.

Any deal on say 3, 5, 6 of them?

hey that's pretty good. I have 2 UMD cases that broke.. Yeah I might order a couple after next payday. :)

I opened up a wrapped game I purchased "The Con" and the plastic seam one the rounded side is open.

Will the game still play ok? (Waiting for blah BB to release the SW Slim)

the other thread on this has been merged with this original thread.

Yes, they are on eBay. Yes, MMR_Shellz works for the company.

I have seen some of these cases fall apart. One where the clear plastic collasped onto the disc and another where the UMD fell apart completely. Like, when I was going to purchase SOCOM Fire Team Bravo from Gamestop during the B2G1 deal some some time ago. The employee took it out of the sleeve and it fell apart in his hand. The bottom of the UMD and the disc was in his hand and the top was still in the sleeve. Was funny at the time, cause the manager came back from lunch and had a wtf look on his face.

Have you considered selling these to GameStop at all? Plenty of their used games could use these. I'm sure that it would allow them to accept more used games.
