Report this guy to ebay

Lately I've been looking for a hand of dreamcast games like Power Stone 2 and a complete copy of Project Justice. I keep seeing this guys list buy an empty CD, crappy game or Extension cord get 13 of the most expensive dreamcast games for free. I decide I was sick of looking at these list so I reported it to eBay so far they have done nothing. Maybe if a bunch of people report it they will pull the auction, maybe I should bid win the auction then report them?

He's not doing anything wrong.

He dosen't mention they are burns (which we all know they are), nothing in that auction is illegal in any way... there is no proof he's not offering what he says he is offering.

that's why I mentioned that I might try bidding win the item recieve the burned disc report him to eBay and Paypal. Maybe ebay needs a policy on deceptive listings I know they posted an article that they plan on cracking down on listing with excessively high shipping costs because of the negitive effect it has on the market place counterfeits would also seem to have the same effect.

He's listed the same set of game at least 6 time in roughly the last month he's selling the cable and not the games, the games are a bonus for buying some crappy item empty jewel case, sega sports title, in this case an extension cord.

Combined with the fact that at least two of those games (Rez, Radilgy, probably more) are Japanese-only imports. The type of person who would know about and buy those games wouldn't have a disc only copy and wouldn't be reselling them in a lot as such on eBay.

That's still no proof of anything.

I can list a ton of rare games in a lot and sell it for cheap, that's not illegal on Ebay.

There is nothing wrong at all with the guy's auction, besides the fact it looks a bit odd, and Ebay dosen't have rules in place against odd auctions. The only way he'll get kicked off is if his buyers start complaining.

Anyways, the question posed was why we thought they were burned games, and that's why I think they are.

If people are fine with taking the chance on bidding on burnt games, it is thier own choice. Personally, if the price is right and the game is rare and hard to find, and I have a chance at a copied disc, why should I punish myself? It is Sega's own fault for not properly making the discs not burnable.

This guy is selling burned copies of games but because of the way he has worded his auction, ebay cant do anything. He states you are getting disc only games, there is no proof that he is selling burned copies.

We thought they were burned games because we're educated individuals? We have good detective skills? If something looks too good it probably is?

Ebay members either don't know / don't care. We know what's going on, but the post above me worded it perfectly, and with no one leaving him negatives or anything all his buyers are happy too.

note in the listing it says it not original, not sure why they wouldn't pull this one. On a side note I almost bid on this one till I read the listing carefully.

This awesome fighting game is absolutely amazing. Everything in this game is in English. Although this game is not original, it plays exactly like the original version. Game contains secret players and stages, and is capable of having four players playing at the same time. Game disc is in excellent condition, and is held within a shining jewel CD case. Instruction booklet is not included, therefore not a good choice for game collectors but for game players. Game was newly bought. It has only been test-played on my dreamcast system, and has never been used. Everything functions perfectly.

NOTE: Please check your system and make sure that it has the following labels shown at the bottom of your dreamcast.

Kind of like selling a funny joke, then giving a bonus lvl 99 World of Warcraft account?

Exactly. The way the auction is set up, he is "technically" selling the item (cable, jewel case, whatever), not the discs. The auction says those discs are free. It's a loophole, but nothing will be done about it unless maybe Sega or the developers who made the games complain.
