When did the OP say that the installation was in Iraq or Arghanistan? In fact, when did the OP say that the installation was anything but domestic?

Why are people assuming that these soldiers are deployed?

That's kinda of what I would expect depending on the branch. I was Air Force so I think they would take this somewhat serously but at least our guy here can say hey I did something. If they don't pursue it that's fine. I would just let it go.
