Didn't think you where. Some people say it is, I'm not to fond of the term. Just to be safe, JPN leaves nothing for people to complain about.
Can we get " Jap " in the tittle changed to JPN?
I'm usually fairly 'politically correct', but really, it's just an abreviation.

well..as im sure everyone was already aware of, i was just using it as an abbreviation...if i wanted to offend somebody with racial slurs, im sure i could come up with something more offensive

j a p is an offensive word to use. it is ued during WWII to the japanese. If you are wondering, a lot of people do use it as an abreviation but doesnt know it is racst (not referring to op). For example Dallas football head coach use that word to describe a play and is considered racist. Now the thing is he recived no punishment and gave a half hearted apology, which suggests that most people are not as offended by this as some other words, but it is still a negative term

just to get a few more quotes in:
"When someone uses 'Jap,' it makes me fearful because it was used against me and my family to demonize us during World War II," he said. "By dehumanizing us, it made it OK to put my relatives in relocation camps. It made it OK for kids to pick on me when I was little. I cringe when I hear it used today."

i do NOT think jap is racist, plus the more you use a word, the less powerful it becomes, so maybe if we all use it on a regular daily basis it will be OK...

just like the swastika is not of german origin.... its all on what people percieve it to be. its what YOU are led to believe, if you believe its racist then maybe your are.

on a final note, im not racist, shit, ill hate on anyone, im an equal opertunist.
-even bitches

Jap, Slope, Mook, $$$$, $$$$$$, Spic, they are all the same, derogatory racial words.

And EVERYONE who KNOWINGLY uses them is a racist, plain and simple. Would you call a black person a $$$$$$? Of course not, so why would you call a Japanese person a Jap?

Re-fucking-post

Jagshemash.

Edit: By the way, you're kind of misleading in your description of the contest. You can only win one of the two, which you have to indicate in your entry.

In theory, yes, but only if japanese use it among themselves. For example African American among each other would use the n-word to depower it. However if someone from another race use the n-word, it would be offensive.

Would I call a black person what, black? yes I would, yes I do.

again, its abreviating the initial word, its just shortening something..

just like jew or arab or euro

your post, creates additional derogatory words, no one mentioned slope, mook, or anything like that, what are they "derived" from?

good point

People who are saying it is racist are most racist than people using it you know. We dont think anything of it, but when you hear it you think bad things about it. Thats how descibing words are going to hell, just like the word gay.

:whistle2:k Hmm someone here needs to stop worrying about racism and concern themselves with learning to spell, as well as, the use of proper grammar. I'm not gonna point any fingers though, cuz when you start pointing fingers someone is bound to get poked.

I don't mean to change the subject, but does anybody know when Wal-mart opens? I attempted to call, and everytime it's either busy or no one answers.

By the way, this topic needs to be moved to the "Japs and Crackers" section.
Peace out, bitches!
