Request: 360 arcade stick

Hello folks,

I want/need a good deal on an arcade stick for xbox 360 to play street fighter 2 and in anticipation of SF4.]

yeah, i just really want a stick to play Super Turbo HD Remix with.

eh... not much of a sports fan really... my family are big giants fans though... so yeah. Go Giants!
 
Right now, the 360 doesn't have too many options. The Hori Fighting Stick EX2 (normal, VF5, SCIV, DOA-skinned) might be your only retail option.

I'm not too thrilled by these anymore. They do the job for SSF2THDR, SCIV, VF5, DOA, MK vs DC (if you really want to), but leave you wanting more. Yeah you can do all your fireballs and dragon punches with ease. Something just doesn't feel awesome about them. They need weight, substance and quality to their components.

I suggest reading controlcommerce's blog which was featured on the front page a few headlines back. If you're savvy enough and not afraid to try, you might be able to make a pretty good joystick for yourself that's worth far more than these options I mentioned.

But if building is out of the question, then probably wait for the official SFIV sticks and joypads to come out. You can see them at Gamestop.

And isn't there a rumor of a SFIV joystick + game bundle? It hasn't surfaced yet but some retailer is bound to offer some kinda promo or something.
 
Thanks. I did read the blogs but why shell out $55 when you can shell out $50 pre-built. Unless the quality of the build-your-own is that much better. Most likely, I will wait for SF4 to come out but spending over a $100 when the system cost $200 is a bit out of whack.
 
I, too, am looking for a 360 stick. Your only retail choice is the Hori. You can go custom and get an arcadeinabox (.com).

I'm personally waiting for the SFIV TE stick to come out. I pre-ordered mine already. Hope it gets here soon! Only 2 more months! :cry:
 
eh... it seems for me a custom stick is just going to be too expensive to build. I'd really like to spend under 50 dollars, and i'm not that hardcore to really build everything from scratch. I'm just wondering if I should pick up one of the Hori ones now (SCIV or unbranded) for 50ish or if you guys think it's worth waiting til SF4 comes out, and see if i can get a deal on the lower end of the SF4 sticks. The fact that they are Madcatz doesn't really make me want to drop 80 dollars on one, thats for sure.
 
I own two of the Hori EX2 Arcade sticks, You really can't go wrong with one. They are Japanese style Arade sticks, so it's got a Square Guard restrictor instead of a Circle Guard. Which I prefer, since I know exactly where the diagonals are. And I'm sure the SF4 sticks be the same style.
