I'm willing to trade Resident Evil 2 and 3 both SEALED for the Gamecube for....

Steel Battalion on the Xbox with controller.
Should be Sealed or Like new Condition Complete. (ok maybe even lightly used....)

Uhhh, you want to trade two games that are worth 60 at the MOST for a game that is worth like 200?

I may be mistaken, but isn't Steel Batallion more valuable than the two RE's?

A friend of mine just sold 2 copies of RE 2 USED for 75$ EACH. So I imagine sealed would be at least 100$. I've also seen used RE 3's go for 40-50. So really this isn't that bad for a deal. Also since RE 4 is comming out really soon, expect ALL the GC RE games to go up in price.

i think its a little crazy too... but seeing as how these two are pulling over 150... and Steel Batallion DROPPED to 150.... it seems just crazy enough that who knows...

When will people realize these prices are only high because of the antcipiation of RE4, once the RE4 hype dies down, so will these prices - guarenteed.
 
c'mon guys. It seems like a pretty fair offer to me. no need to crap on his thread as there have been plenty of SB deals in the past and someone may be bored with SB
 
I don't know what RE3 is worth, but 2 is can pull in a bundle. I put a sealed one on half.com for $75 a few weeks ago, and it sold in no time.

The shipping on SB is a b*tch, though. Don't bother with UPS, I'd recommend FedEx.

its a matter of simple supply and demand... at this very moment.

if you have steel battalion in good shape... and you HATE IT.
BUT you REALLY REALLY REALLY want RE 2 and 3 right now for the GC.... maybe we can work something out.

doubt it. Resident Evil 2 sealed for GC has been at or around $100 on ebay for months.
 
I love that some people are willing to pay ridiculous prices for PS1 games on a GC disc. :D I have a sealed RE3 for PS1. That's got to be worth $100 minimum! :roll:
 
I can possibly understand serious collectors paying big $ for RE2/3. However, for the average gamecube user the prices they're going for are insane. It's not like a sealed Valkyrie Profile or Suikoden 2, as the 2 RE games are basically ports available on other systems. ](*,)

If RE2 was on XBox, i'd be one of the crazy guys trying to pay $75 for it. RE2 was, and probably will always be, my favorite RE.

I don't want to crap on your thread. I actually think your deal is reasonable, but why not just sell the games on ebay? I think you would make out with more money than it would cost to buy Steel Batallion. Just curious...

but i just have a hard time letting go of cash...

that and i sort of still believe in the kinship of the CAGer.
you never know who is sick of SB and which CAGer REALLY wants RE 2 and 3...

That is what I figured. Both excellent and very relatable reasons. It is a lot easier, psychologically to trade a game (or 2) for another game, than to sell the game for cash and then use that cash to pay for the other game.

There is so much crap in this thread I didn't think it would hurt to shovel my own pile onto the top. I will always love the first one the most, as it was the most original for the time and you didn't know what to expect as you progressed through the game. There are very few games that i have played that have left a lasting impact on me like RE did (with the original Zelda and Final Fantasy 2 included on that list).

By the way, I think your offer is suitably fair and would go for it in a heartbeat if I owned that mass of plastic and metal you're looking for. As it stands, if you don't get any hits in a reasonable period of time, I would love to trade RE2 off your hands.

BUT this offer is for Resident Evil PURISTS... DIE HARD fans... the ones that want it all for their cube for.... reasons unknown.

I know for a fact we have a brand new Steel Battalion at GameCrazy where I work. Best I can do is a 10% employee discount. Not interested in the GC games, though.
 
while i want re2 and re3, i dont have Steel Battalion and have never seen (in person) Steel Battalion and never knew of anyone who owns Steel Battalion...

and everyone needs to stop shitting in this thread, you've explained yourself a kazillion times already...
 
actually i just ebayed a new steel battalion for $137.50 + shipping. I got it for about that at gamestop.com after discounts, but if i had seen this a week ago i would have dont it. and shipping via fedex ground isnt that much. It cost $22.50 to ship the 17.5 pound controller to canada, so it should only be about $15 to ship via fedex ground within the usa(depending on location)
