I just called my buddy who works at a mom and pop chain here in town, and it now shows up in his inventory of stuff he can order for the store.

Alright, so far thats atleast 2 different confirmations of a reprint. Now, what about RE3?

Hey...it can happen at any time for 95% of games. Like somebody mentioned, a title like Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is pretty safe since the creator doesn't own the license anymore. But everything else...you just never know... those of use who own Suikoden II could easily see a Suikoden I & II compilation for $20 announced next week. Hence, this is why you don't buy ("invest") in games at exhorbant prices looking to "get rich".

Actually Mvc2 could get a reprint if Capcom let another publisher do it. The trickey part is rather Capcom would license out all their character for a cheap price so that they can sell a reprint for cheap.

OMG. I must be dreaming. RE 2 is $27. I managed to get a new Zelda Collector's Edition for $30. And Suikoden I and II possibly coming out on one disc? That's friggin insane.

Based on the picture posted by someone else in another thread and based on the Skies of Arcadia Legends reprint -- no, there is absolutely no difference whatsoever.

There is no difference. At least, every Capcom reissue has never had different packaging or game disc art. I wouldn't think of it like when a comic book gets reprinted.

Oh it's already out of stock, and I'm lollin' at whoever bought it.

Edit: I'm going to go for it and buy one from gexpress.com. If anything I don't have the GC version (just N64), so if it is a reprint I guess my GC RE collection will simply be more well rounded.

I'm surprised that there haven't been more reprint of games. RE2/3/Veronica X for the GC need to be rereleased. So do Suikoden I/II for the PSone. REZ could use a rerelease too.

Well, I just ordered a copy from the other site for ~$42 shipped, I'm not too upset.
 
if its a reprint and bb starts selling them for $15 after the ggc, ill just have to start staking out elementary schools and trade little kids my two one dollar bills for their one five/ten/twenty dollar bills....until of course, i either become rich or...make my money back

Theres a difference between reprinting the same version of a game and reprinting for a diff console. I think that suiky disc would actually increase the value of suiky 2. The people getting it now are mostly collectors, but having just beat it its also a damn fine game. A reprint would get more people access to play it, and therefore a bigger market of buyers that want original copies.

You can get all the final fantasies and chrono trigger on ps1 for cheap, but the collectable nature of the original SNES games really didn't go down that much.

I'll just keep it sealed until I see/hear if it's going to be reprinted. In that case, just return it.:p I just hope that is clarified within the return period.

GameQuestDirect really played everyone masterfully on this, didn't they? I guess they should be congratulated on being able to take advantage of the reprint and probably lower price before anyone caught on.

Nothing much actually. RE4 is really good though :)

Although it's not better than something like MGS3 imo :p
 
When it shows up at EBgames, I'll believe it's a reprint. Until then, it's backstock that somebody found in a warehouse. Or a very small reprint, a la defender's Super Puzzle Fighter.

Ya, that would be a more clear explanation. Perhapse the stock that was found was really old and they didn't know how to sell the units. Well I e-mailed the peeps at GameQuest, and hopefully they will answer truthfully. :roll:

They're new, and the price of RE 2 on Ebay just plummeted. Don't buy it for profit now cause it'll get you nothing.

I ordered one. Its for me, I'm trying to get the whole RE series on GC. I now just need to find RE3.

Depends on if this is a reprint or not. If it's a full reprint, then no it's probably not worth it to collect.

Would the Capcom site still have this at 999 or could you call Capcom's customer service and ask them??? I feel like a greedy dumbass and it serves me right.
 
I think I read in this thread that some stores were able to order copies of RE2 now. Does anyone know if this is also going to happen w/ RE3?
 
Capcom would be silly not to reprint this given the number of people willing to pay inflated Ebay prices for RE2 and 3 at this point. Hopefully, they'll do another Pure Evil 2-pack for this set and let the people who want these games get them for a reasonable price.
 
Anyone else notice that Gamequestdirect.com put an order limit of 2 on RE2, could be a sign that it's not a reprint. (Wishful Thinking!)
