Resident Evil 2 Gamecube $26.99

I hope it was republished and the value on EBay plummets.
Agreed. I'm sick and shaq-fuing tired of all the dumbasses dumping ridiculous amounts of cash on a port of a dc port of a PSOne game that came out nearly a decade ago!
Some people want to collect all the main Resident Evil games on one console. I still can't figure out why people can't get this through their thick heads. Its not your money being spent so why are you so sick & tired of it?
Sounds like I hit a nerve :p

I'm guessing you're one of the many who dumped $70+ on just one of tghe two.

I'm personally sick and tired of ignorance in general, so don't take it so personally.
Is this game worth the price? I want to order one but I'm not a "collector" and the OOP thing really means nothing to me. Will I be able to enjoy it after playing RE4. The last RE I played before RE4 was RE:CV on DC.
Get a PSOne, plus every single RE made for it, and simply save half the cash of buying just one of the two.

Yes, you hit a nerve. Because ignorant asses such as yourself cannot comprehend the reason why RE2 & RE3 sell for such a high values keep feeling the need to thread crap here. Yes, we know you can buy a PSOne + all the original versions for less, thats not the point. And, no, I was not one of those people who spent $70+ for this game on eBay. As much of a fan I am of the RE series, that price is absurd to me. However, you dont see me hoping into threads being a dick to people who don't.

It is back in stock at Game Express. The trade in value for RE2 GC at estarland also dropped from $65 to $50 so either a lot of people have tried to trade it in there or they know something's up also.

Actually, the GCN ports of RE2 &3 come straight from the PSone originals. The Dreamcast ports came from the PC versions and as a result have a couple extras not included on the PSone/GCN ports (FMV cinema, production art and character polygon galleries for RE2 and unlocked Mercenaries mini-game and alternate costumes for RE3).

Asked about the status of RE2 and whether or not Game Express would be able to get any more copies in and I got this today (thank God I got my order in):

Dear John,

At this time, Resident Evil 2 NGC has been completely sold
out. Capcom has released small batch of the version
but they are planning to release in near future which we
don't have any expected release date.

We do apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused you.
Please do let us know if you have any questions.

So I guess that explains it... now I just wonder about RE3.
OOS @ Game Express... eStarland Trade-in Value down to $32.
It was $50 just earlier this morning!

Ordered it yesterday for the 26.99 that was posted on their site. Was in stock.
Today I receive a cancellation notice, and see that they increased their price. When I called them of course they gave me the run around. Oh well

Just got an e-mail from eStarland this morning, as I had them keep my e-mail address on a list for information on new copies of RE2 last summer. They just e-mailed me today and said it was in stock for $59.95 new. Not a good deal, but in line with the 'release in small batches' statement. It explains the drop in trade-in value on their site as well.

I received the same email from eStarland. Looks like they've gotten a few copies of the game also. If anyone bought them to sell ... do it now!

If Capcom really does re-release RE2 and RE3, it's going to make me one happy duck.
I got the first two Cube releases for peanuts (RE0 and RE1), and picked up RECV at Circuit City during the $5 madness, so I'm just missing RE2 & RE3. Hopefully I'll be seeing these things sitting on the shelf somewhere B&M for cheap in a couple months.

Or it could mean they're selling the copies people traded in.

Could be, but when I went to the site this morning, they were OOS on used. That doesn't appear to be the case now, though.

That's not quite true. I have 2 and 3, while I haven't opened 3, I've played 2 on GC and I have my old psx copy too. The GC version is in all high res and looks alot smoother and theres a couple extra modes, like you can start of with mini gun with unlimited ammo.

Explains? This is the most convoluted piece of garbage I've read on this board. It's nearly unintelligible!

You, the one with 2 posts thinks this is unintelligible?

Anyway, it basically means that Capcom gave them some copies, but it's not a full, widespread reprint.

Yeah, me. This is a new username, AND the number of posts I've made has no bearing whatsoever on how intelligible the posts on this board are. What was your point?
Yeah, me. This is a new username, AND the number of posts I've made has no bearing whatsoever on how intelligible the posts on this board are. What was your point?
That someone with 2 posts doesn't know what's going on.

I'm a CAG noob, but not a grammar noob. I've got to back up othergames on this one; I get the general meaning, but that doesn't mean the sentence quoted below makes sense.

"Capcom has released small batch of the version

Well, you didn't make your point, and you were wrong. Don't insult people because the account doesn't reflect a high number of posts. That would make you a Cheap Assgamer.

Its back in stock... but its $31 with $6 shipping. I'm not going to read through all this to see if its been said.

Your signature says, "astronaut unit." I don't think that's the word you want, but it's funny!
