Resident Evil 2 (NGC) Price raised to $49.99 :(

Hi,

Well I found a gold mine, www.gamequestdirect.com has 60 copies left and they are new and sealed! I couldn't believe my eyes :shock: when I read the info. This game company is well trusted and they are mostly in southern California. I ordered mine today, :D and should be receiving it no later than Friday.

Please ask any questions, and hurry before they are all gone!

Cause a stink? They offered a game for a certain price, and you bought it. Its not there fault it popped up somewhere else for cheaper.
 
Everyone is looking at the eBay scene as if there is some infinite supply or something. There'll be a flood for the next month, and then things will move back to the way its been. When everybody runs out of REs to sell (soon), and the demand is still there, you can just sell then. Like I said, it's not like EB has this or anything. You're basically going to have 300 more RE2s on ebay than you normally would have. That's not the end of the world.
 
i talked to a friend of mine who works for capcom today and he told me that there is not a reprint of re2 and that it most positively was a wharehouse find. notice knowbody on ebay has a actual picture just stock photo. also the price is up to 49.99 with a limit of 2 per customer.

A business can sell anything for anyprice they want (except for price controlled items like cigarettes or milk). A MSRP is just a suggested retail price.

It will be back up again if it wasn't a reprint. I don't think it was. If they reprinted second why they didn't reprint 3rd?!

I'll let you know how the PC Richards order works out... it showed as backordered. Their shipping was pretty high, but you may be able to get one
 
So is there any concrete evidence that this is a reprint? I bought 2, one to keep and one to sell (hopefully to cover the cost of the one I keep as well), I don't want to get stuck with 2 copies!

A really bad idea if you are thinking of resell. While one person said there wont be a reprint from Capcom, others claim independent stores are able to order more copies. It is not worth the risk, and it is likely if there is a reprint it might go for less that $30
 
It went for as much as 107.50 on March 2nd and that's down some from a few weeks ago. I'm guessing it will bounce back some after these warehouse copies are sold off.

Hang on to it for a week or so until the dust settles. If worse comes to worse, return them and you're only out $10 or so for the restocking fee.

Also keep in mind that when this deal is posted people brought several copies thinking it was a good deal, but than another place sells them for $27.
 
One more thing, remember at one point Shadow Hearts was going for $70 and now it drop back down? There is only a finite number of people that want this game and the demand will not be as high.
 
I think I am just going to wash my hands of the situation and sell one for a Buy it now for $55 and basically pay $30 for my copy which I will be content with.
 
Stop saying its a wherehouse find, we do NOT kno that yet. This can be a re-issue. However, I'm still luaghing at people that bought several copies thinking they could make a profit.

A little while ago I read a industry story that Capcom was going to release a RE Series pack that contained the whole series for the GamCube. Don't remember the price they quoted but you saved a little bit for buying the pack versus individually. As far as RE2 being a reprint, it is not hard to believe since RE4 sold well and RE5 being planned.

I remember seeing the same thing, but I recall that I heard it was only being released in Japan.

Tnen again, one must consider that the Japanese release box set wasn't exactly put out at a bargain price. You'd still have paid a pretty price for RE2 & 3 even with the box set, but I guess there would be several more used copies of each floating around as a result.
 
87 in stock currently. I like how some people are still trying to convince themselves that this isn't some sort of a reprint. Especially with the other store selling it, and it showing up on wholeseller lists again.

Japanese games are always expensive. You throw DVDs or games in a box and they will buy it regardless of price.

The other site is OOS, and only had limited quantities, and show me some proof about other stores receiving the game from wholesellers, or distributors. :!:

I honestly think it was just a good find by both companies, because I personally called a few big name places, and they said they have no info about a re-print, but then again lots of people don't know jack!
