I bought a RE 4 collector's edition at gamestop today, despite the best efforts of both myself and the employee to try to stop me.
The employee really tried to discourage me, saying that the $10 wasn't worth the crappy art cell and artbook I would be getting. And of course he tried to sell me on the greatness of their discount card and magazine subscription for the low, low price of $5 if I got a $44.99 used copy of RE 4 with that.
I also tried to stop myself, asking for a Growlanser Generations Deluxe instead (partially persuaded by the employee's account of the crappiness of the collector's edition), and even pulling the requisite $85 out of my wallet to pay for it... when the employee pops back out of the stock room holding the inner contents of Growlanser Generations all shrinkwrapped and going for the display box so he can combine the two bastard children into a bastard whole. I, like most other CAGs faced with a $85 purchase of a display copy at gamestop, said hells no.
So I did get that RE 4 collector's tin after all. Now, after driving home with it, I'm really digging the purple/maroon/crimson tin. Reminds me of my first car
Should I get another one, so I can keep one sealed? Will these hold their $60 + tax value?
