Do any of you ever take a step back and realize not everyone is out for your best interests? Seriously? For a second, stop being a Cheap Ass Gamer and put yourself in the shoes of a business. If they aren't moving a certain product, they need to drop the price. It is simple as that. Stop crying everytime something drops in price. How they are screwing you? You bought it already and have it in your hands. You wanted it at a particular time and bought it then. Now, it's a different price. Oh well.
I paid $80 on release day. Bought it at GameStop, but hell, I could buy it today from Amazon for $60. Thing is, I've been enjoying the game and other stuff for three weeks. That is the price I paid.[/quote]
Oh for god's sake, do any of you take a step back and ask this, why should we, the tax payer, bailout the corps? Seriously, just be a Cheap Ass Gamer and wear your own shoe. If things go on sale, you like you buy, simple as that. If you already have it, return it with the original receipt. It's common sense 101. Maybe the word "screw" is too strong, but bottom line is, as a consumer in the good old USA, you're allowed to return a new identical item within the store's return policy. Nothing criminal or even unethical about this. It's just a matter of opportunity cost, i.e. is it worth the time?
You can buy the $60 copy from Amazon and then return it to GS with your original receipt. The only problem i see is that GS receipt might be expired for return by the time you get the game from Amazon. Of course, there are ways to go around this, i.e. stretch your receipt window.... Anyway, personally, anything more than two steps, it's not worth the headache. Hey, that's $20, in CAG's term, another game or two.
