Resistance- NEW CAG Clan Sign-Ups
I won't be able to play tonight, I gotta finish up a speech that I was supposed to give today *sigh*

I haven't tried to play on-line recently, so I don't know if I'll be running into that same problem again, but I'll be hopping on tomorrow

Silent, you think you'll be on this afternoon? I might hop on PSN to trade if you'll be on. I can be on around 1PM to 2 PM Pacific Time, I forget where you're at.
I probably wont be able to get on sometime till later tonight. Around 6:00 or so EST. I can play tonight so if anyone wants to play let me know. Also Shini you think you should start a new Resistance Clan topic? That way you can edit the main post and in the header write out when we are playing Resistance and stuff like that? Since you are the new leader and what not? I figure until mana decides what he wants to do with the Psn game nights we can make Resistance Tonight and Sat? It's up to you but I think that may help get more people to join the clan and play with us.
Maybe I'll join in with CAGs not long from now for the hell of it. I use to be decent at the game but have probably lost my touch since I haven't played the game in a while.

I'm usually a well off player in shooters for the most part. It took me about three days of moderate playing to really get use to the speed at which multiplayer is at as well as picking up quite a few tricks. Although a few very good and effective ones I didn't learn until later.

Just don't be an idiot like me and kill yourself with your own air fuel grenades. :p

Anyways, has anyone seen the stat signatures at the myresistance website? It's kindof cool. Haven't been there in a while so I haven't seen it until now:

Hmm I could use some tips. ;)
You mind sharing some tricks I might not know about?
I don't remember all of them anymore but some basic ones off the top of my head were:

Air Fuel Grenades can be held down longer for an larger and later explosion at your discretion. However if you hold to long it will go off on its own. The legnth you can hold it for around 10 to 15 seconds if I remember correctly.

Another was when using the bullseye you can use alternate shot on a wall and then have bullets collect there. Then when an enemy appears you can alt shoot him to have all the collected bullets fly at him if you manage to hit him with alternate fire.

Uh, another one is the Arc Charger in games with reactors. Alternate fire is a very quick method to taking them out, unless stuff has changed since I last played.

There were a few timed jumping spots to make it across the map quicker when playing certain maps for game types that had reactors where time mattered.

Although those aren't really "tricks" per say, you'd be surprised how many people don't know about them. It's also a good idea learn to properly place grenades in the paths of players. It's especially effective in this game. As well as aiming for the head of players as it kills them quicker if you're able to do that well enough.
Well, if you were like me and got it in store, there's no shipping charge (just tax). Yeah, I looked at the Headset while I was in Staples last week.
I went to my Staples they didn't have it. So after looking for about 10 minutes I went up to an employee and he said: "No dude we don't have those you have to go to a gaming place for those" I just came home and ordered it from their website and laughed the whole time.
Really? Wow so you're paying $50 for it now eh? I thought $40 was bad enough myself, would loved to have seen it cheaper.
Hmm why would you pay $40-50 for the exact same headset that comes bundled with Warhawk for $60? Am I missing something?
Hmm why would you pay $40-50 for the exact same headset that comes bundled with Warhawk for $60? Am I missing something?
Not everyone wants Warhawk.
I think we are playing tonight, not 100% sure. We usually just play each other in the clan for fun, but we have joined a team game before and kicked ass as a clan.

It shouldn't take you that long to get decent depending on how good you are at FPS. I'm still not the greatest at it, but I mainly only play with the Cag clan for fun. Since other wise I am going cussed at in regular ranked games. Also I do recommend getting a headset as well since the game is a lot better with one. Mana can hook you up with the link to the one I got from staples if they are still doing that $10 off or not. It works great, just takes a little while to get used to it.
Hmm, I may just get one of the old used headsets from GS. I've got a $25 GC, so either I get the cheapest crap headset I can find plus a PSN game or get a better headset.

There's unranked games I can get my feet wet in aren't there?
Not everyone wants Warhawk.
Really? Even though you could trade the game in the same day you buy it for $20-$25 or sell it to a CAG for ~$35? You could buy the game and give it a shot for a week. If you don't end up liking it, you can trade it back in and pretty much pay what you would have for the headset alone.

Just something to think about - not trying to force people to buy a game they don't want, more trying to help people save money. Afterall, that's what CAG is all about.

I didn't know about the delayed air-fuel and bullseye tricks

I've also seen some people outside of the maps, you know how to pull any of those off? Like the map with the church?

Silent, yea, I should make a new topic so I can edit the first post.
I'll get to doing that tomorrow since my priority today is to finish up my speech for tomorrow (It's about completing college

I haven't heard of it. Mustof been discovered some time after I stopped playing.

No interest in Warhawk as I hate online only games.

Yeah there are, I always just play ranked though.
