Resistance Review up at IGN 9.1

Looking at all the games out for the fi rst two months on this system I can say this is the only game worth picking up for the PS3 and maybe RIiiiiiiiiiiiiiidge Racer. No reviews on Dark Kingdom yet though.
 
Ever wonder where greed comes from? Well if apples were 30$ a pound would they be justified? just because someone will pay the price doesn’t make it Right. Same with gas. We all loved the high gas prices right? Oh lets bump up our heating bill in winter!!! ahahha capitalism your great! Scalping tickets is illegal, I bet after these consoles will be to. Good job.

I do realize consoles are diffrent from food, but at what point will this force people like sony ect to actualy price thier system at what it goes for on ebay? thiers more to capitolism then buying somethign for a buck and selling it for 2. If sony cant charge you 5000$ a console on launch why can you? Would it be wrong of them... yes. but the river flows both ways here in the under world.


This is cheap ass gamers, and so many people here talk about selling consoles for outlandish prices... isn’t that a bit ironic?

Anyone else think the video review makes the game look like shit even though the guy is constantly praising it?

Agreed.. the video review made it look even more generic than I was already thinking it was. I also noticed that the aiming was very jerky and innacurate, and it just didn't seem to have that force or weight behind the weapons. Very unimpressed with PS3 graphics at this point.. It may be a very fun game, but just from watching it, i'm not impressed, gears of war and even half life 2 and a hundred other FPS games i can think of look better..
 
I'm going to California to play on monday as part of a trip I won. I'll give some impressions on Wednesday when I get back.

Oh ya, Sony could charge us 5000$ if they wanted... I bet people would still buy it too when Final Fantasy and everything came out haha
 
holy crap you're right. That game is so generic. It even has the generic shooter crates/explosive barrels.
 
It looks decent, but definitely not on the same level as Gears. By the time I can afford (or even find) a PS3 this game will hopefully be pretty cheap, so I'll pick it up then.

And i bet we would pay it too, and we would hate them for it ;) sony is loosing money on every console they sell becuse of manufacturing, i just dont think its right to re sell the system when sony is doing us a favor by selling it under its actual manufacturing price.

The stock market crashed becuse of inflation. People sold stock and for more then it was worth. After that we put limits and restrictions on markets. If this ebay stuff keeps up, I think it could hurt the video game market in a way we just cant forsee at the moment.

The screens look nice, havent checked the video. Overall i would like to see a game with awsome swordplay and animation on launch. guess what system im getting firs :)

I feel the same way. I just bought Gears of War today and I had no idea how good it really looked. Then I watched the Resistance ign video review and I was just surprised at how generic it looked. I'm still on the fence about keeping my ps3 or selling it. Resistance is the only good exclusive launch title but I don't know if I'd want to play it or even have the time between Gears of War and Zelda.

People need to stop trolling, damn. PS3 Fans know the game may look... not so great, and seems generic, but let them enjoy waht they got coming... its gonna cost em a pretty penny anyway.

Expressing negative opinions does not equal trolling. I'll say this, Resistance looks like a better launch FPS than Perfect Dark Zero was, although that's not too hard to do.

It's for sure no Call of Duty 2, however.
 
If we're talking about the way it looks, everyone should give it a little slack because you can never tell what the game actually looks like until it is sitting infront of you.
