This is my first post so im not sure this is a good deal or not but i was at my local Kmart the other day and i was looking around and one of the employee's said Resonance of Fate was on sale so though it had a 59.99 price tag it rang up 19.99, and since i picked up LA Noir i got this for free :) so if your interested i would look into this. im not sure if this is at other stores too but i know for a fact that there was no way of telling they didnt change the price tag or anything so ask the person behind the counter you never know!

yes, this is a decent price. been waiting for this and since i have a kmart gc just may p/u. hope my kmart has it in stock.

thanks op.
Has this game ever been $15 new, at least for PS3? I keep holding out for that price...
It was $17 for PS3 on Amazon a couple weeks ago. The price has been fluctuating there for awhile so I wouldn't be surprised if it drops back down. I have not seen it for $15 though.

It hit $16 in Dec/Jan, at least for 360 - can't swear to PS3.

I bought it on Amazon when it was at $17, even tho a friend told me that the game was sort of bad. After playing it a couple of hours I agree with him

I bought it for $25 I believe a while ago (still need to finish it), and I wouldn't say it's bad as I thought the fighting style was interesting. The thing to me was is there is a good bit of grinding involved. Like a lot.

I also need to finish (at some point). The fighting style was different, but after a while it got a bit repetitive. So far I've only battled two bosses (the last one was the one in the power plant.

I don't regret that much buying it, since it was just $17.

Love the game and it's uniqueness. Price only seems ok, but since it probably wasn't crazily over produced, it might never drop down to the $10-12 realm for a new copy.

It was actually $10 either at the beginning of this year or end of last year. Don't know why I didn't pick it up.
So is this the typcial RPG with tons of grinding or not?
There is a fair amount of grinding involved. That said, the gameplay is unique, although it does have a steep learning curve. On top of that, the game can get difficult quickly. Be prepared to die and restart a lot.

I enjoyed it a lot (80+ hours), but I agree with the other posters that the learning curve is high. The in game tutorials are fairly poor too, which doesn't help things. Once you get the gameplay down though (several hours in), it starts getting a lot more interesting. Customizing the weapons (attachments) is another different thing they do that I liked.

This is my favorite RPG of the current console generation.

The flaws that some people pointed out are definitely there. It's a bit tough to get a handle on how the battle system works in the first place.
It may be true that there's a good bit of grinding. Once I knew what I was doing I loved the fighting so much I didn't care, though.
I've also heard gripes about the world map system, but I liked it better than most of what I've seen before.

All-in-all, the game is very innovative, very stylish, and fairly difficult.

IMO, watch a gameplay video. If the gunplay you see makes you giddy and you have some experience with more difficult RPGs, this is the game for you. If what's happening in a gameplay video doesn't spark your interest, don't bother.

I can't get youtube embedding to work (why in God's name isn't there just a button for it?), so here's a link to one:

This footage is from pretty early on, apparently being played by a relative newbie, but it still shows the basic idea and is in HD.
